Anyone know what the difference is?
Between Halifax Easycash and Basic accounts.
Looks as if Easycash has been withdraw, and you can "upgrade" to basic?

It seems that you can convert the Easycash to a Basic account unless you are eligible to upgrade to a current account.
I don't believe there is any pressure on customers to change if they don't want to.
Also the basic account is only available if you have been declined for a current account.......ie you can't apply directly for it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. No fees on Basic, Easycash has returned item fees of £10 and will charge unplanned interest if you manage to get the account overdrawn. Basic can't be used for Apple Pay, think the Easycash can.DEBT FREE!

Thanks guys, well a family member tried to move to basic.
The bank sent a letter, saying you can get a full current account, but you must go to branch. Result.0
