UKPS , help please with a letter to them

Hello all, sorry if this is in the wrong section. i haven't used a forum in years can someone please help.
I am going to write to a private parking firm called ukps.
my question is do I have to add my home address in there or can i just put my email on there for them to respond ?
The thing is I don't want to make it easy for them to find me
I won't mind if it goes through IPC and they get it from DVLA but i don't want UKPS sending threatening letters in the post straight away.
PS I believe the notice to be unjust
Thanks everyone

Don't do it! (Write to them)
It won't help your cause.
Threatening letters won't hurt! They (or their debt collectors) have 6 years to send them to you!
Read up in the newbies FAQ thread on how and when to contact a PPC0 -
any appeal should include a "serviceable" address (not necessarily a home address) - ie:- one you can receive post at and retrieve your letters from
so
name
serviceable address
pcn number
maybe the VRM on the vehicle too
it should be done AS KEEPER, at the appropriate time
or you wait for an NTK and then appeal as keeper , becasue they will then have your details anyway0 -

Have you read the NEWBIES FAQs sticky thread now? Do not rush off to post a letter. It IS easy for them to find your address because the DVLA will sell it to them for £2.50.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the heads up, I don't know how I missed the sticky thread.
I read it about 3A.M last night but fell asleep whilst posting a reply ( i finished work at 12A.M)
I'm still a little confused as its a lot to take in, I honestly thought as i feel I have a good case that my letter would sort the problem out.
Having read the forum it seems the IPC and IAS seem a little biased to towards UKPS so it looks like I have no chance even if I write to UKPS.
It is all a bit too much.
if i am right in what I got from the forum thread so far, should I first make a complaint, ( but who do i complain too? as it was some land which apparently belongs to a pub, which I went into with a receipt but they didn't want to know)
can I ask, when I write a complaint letter, is that the letter when I state that I am not going to pay the charge , and point out all the things wrong with the situation/ the actual notice/ the signage etc ?
if I have no joy then do I wait until I have something in the post, and then appeal online to IPC? or do I try the online appeal straight away?
or have I got it all wrong ?
thanks for the advice,
Is there somebody that can proof read my letter on here ?
Thanks for the Info Coupon-Mad, Redx, and Quentin0 -
Complain to the brewery or local pub chain if it's owned that way (not many pubs I know are run by one person with no overarching brewery).it seems the IPC and IAS seem a little biasedcan I ask, when I write a complaint letter, is that the letter when I state that I am not going to pay the charge , and point out all the things wrong with the situation/ the actual notice/ the signage etc ?

It's not that difficult, people here have ignored PPCs for a decade. POPLA came in only in 2012 which gave us an appeal stage that worked but then some PPCs joined a rival group which gave them a kangaroo court instead, so they could 'futilely go through the motions' of pretending there was an appeal for consumers:
http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2016/01/is-independent-appeal-service-kangaroo.html
That is where you are. Same as we ever were for years and years, ignoring a scam PCN because there is no 'appeal' worth trying.
This is no biggie - and ignoring a letter chain is NOT a reason to pay because that would be joining the scam and funding the next 2 or 3 PCNs against vulnerable families or little old ladies. Nonono.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks, Coupon-mad,
That's a good bit of info there.
I will send the template to UKPS.
I don't know much about pubs but this dodgy looking place looked like it was run by a family or something, I never new most pubs belonged to a brewery or local pub chain, I will definitely have to try and find out, ( am i safe to mention the pub and city on this forum ? maybe somebody already knows and can help ?)
If I do find it belongs to a brewery or local pub chain and write it a letter, should I still just write as the keeper stating that here is a receipt from the driver or should I write to them as the driver saying " I have such and such receipt, I was given permission by the shop on your land to leave the premises for a while" etc etc ?
Can I ask you fine people on this forum, is it possible for somebody on here to read my letter i have prepared for them, it may be that somebody could tell If i have a concrete case etc.
The thing is, i entered from one end of the land which had no entrance signs. at first i thought it was the entrance but only after i went back to the sight for the third time i realized that the entrance, with the entrance signage was on the other side of the curved land, i notice that they have about 4 different signs there which all say something different.
the tarrif boards are always blocked by vans. ( i didnt see them that day) its one of them park and text tariffs which I didn't even know existed. ( I was looking for tariff boards and a pay machine after I saw a blue "P" sign but then I thought it was an old council car park or something (I mean this thing they call a car park is more like a dirt road or massive drive way. it has no markings on it whatsoever
there is an indipendant shop which says free parking for shop users, ( who i thought the land belonged to ) he said i can leave the shop for a while to go to the cash machine. the signs he put up next to UKPS signs make it look like it is his land.
The UKPS signage is next to the shops make shift signage which kind of contradicts each other.
And I have a receipt from the shop with the time difference to the PCN of 7 minutes.
The UKPS man didnt want to see my receipt nor did the pub and the shop man said he cant help.
The whole thing looks corrupt and set up to lure people in and with all the slightly different / and hidden boards catch people off guard.
Can i ask do they use timed cctv footage in the claim process, i mean if they apply for small claims do they show the cctv ? ( i know they have set up a security camera of sort as the local people all talk about them spying on people all day waiting to pounce. (apperantly they do about 10 a day)
Thank you all, for your advice,
Thank you, coupon-mad.0 -

Thanks again coupon-mad
The place is called The Premier Club. it is in Coventry on Station Street West.
Anybody know if it belongs to a chain or brewery ?0 -
All I could find by Googling it were some bad reviews and this summary:
http://www.about-uk.com/coventry/shops-other-retail-outlets/bars/the-premier-club-3108807.html
So it may be it's not part of any brewery and is just a Social Club privately owned.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

yep, that's as far as I got too, thanks for looking coupon-mad.
it looks like it would be a waste of time writing to them ?
I really am a little stuck I have been reading the newbies thread all day as well as reading some other threads like appeals thread etc and I have been editing the letter I have prepared, I have copied most of the template letters I found on this forum but I am a little confused as to which one to use, who to send to, and what to state at which stage. ( i don't want to point out all the faults to UKPS just in case they use that against me
one letter i copied ends "If you believe you have a cause of action, send a Letter before Claim within the next 21 days and I will take advice and will respond."
and the other I have ended with If you choose to pursue me please be aware that I will not enter into any correspondence and this will be the only letter you will receive from me until you answer the specific points raised in my letter.
at the same time, my letter looks like it should be sent to POPLA and then, on the other hand, i don't know if that is an option as it is an IPC operated PPC
I am not sure if I should post the letter i have prepared on here.
looks like complaining to the Landowner will make no difference,
if I send the template you have provided in the newbies section would I then need to send the other letter relating to my case with all the faults UKPS made to the appeals stage ? or could i send that to UKPS too ?0
