Paypal must be having a laugh?

Paypal didn't work like this ten years ago and I tend to never read the terms and conditions for anything since they are made as long winded as possible to deter people from reading them. It works on me.
I still think "What is Paypal actually there for?" if you don't need to put funds into it.
Doesn't this mean Paypal exists... in name only?!0 -
If PayPal didn't exist how would you send funds for your eBay purchases?0

I'm pretty sure it did.GotNoMoney wrote: »Paypal didn't work like this ten years ago

Maybe you should just read this https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/personal particularly the video of How Paypal works.GotNoMoney wrote: »I still think "What is Paypal actually there for?" if you don't need to put funds into it.

Pretty clever this Paypal thingy, isn't it?GotNoMoney wrote: »I still think "What is Paypal actually there for?" if you don't need to put funds into it.
It serves a useful purpose, and you don't need to put funds into it.
Brilliant if you ask me.
No, another mistake you have made.GotNoMoney wrote: »Doesn't this mean Paypal exists... in name only?!

I've had a PayPal account for around 20 years and it's always operated in the same way. I've never added funds before making a payment to a third party as PayPal take the money from whichever funding source I choose - bank account or credit card.
I use PayPal when I'm making one-off purchases with sites. And for eBay - obviously. It's also handy for making quick payments to friends.
And you should always read the terms you are agreeing to - or you might find yourself in another financial pickle.0 -
Hello
I need some help with PayPal invoicing.
I currently use a package called Hiveage which I find really good but I want to try and bring everything together.
Hiveage Example
Item is £45.83 plus VAT (£9.17) = £55 (RRP)
Paypal removes VAT from the sale price and is therefore £11 i.e. 20% of £55.
Has anybody else come across this and does PayPal have a function to do this?
Thanks

Not sure what you're asking. Any of my transactions where Paypal have displayed Tax (ie, VAT) the amount has been calculated correctly.Crouching_Tiger wrote: »Hello

AFAIK Paypal only displays the tax amount that have been sent to them from the seller.0 -

I bought 2 things on Ebay yesterday, and paid with Paypal.
The first it clearly showed "Pay with paypal balance" when I selected Paypal.
The second it clearly showed "Pay with funds transferred from bank debit card ending in 5713" when I selected Paypal.
What did it show when you made your £25 purchase and had £25 paypal cleared funds?0 -

Yes it did. You didnt have to pre load paypal then either.
Paypal are the payment processing service.
When you pay by card instore. Do you just show them the card and the money mysteriously pops out of your account into the retailers?0 -
