Congrats on your offer! When do you move?
You're a couple of days ahead of me on the timescale...

Thank you, it was a tough couple of weeks waiting.

The people that we are buying the house from haven’t found anywhere yet! The only thing is that the offer only lasts 3 months so it’s going to be tight.

    Sooooooo I think I have a mortgage!!
They've come back to my MB and said they're happy with everything but they need the surveyors to amend the address on the valuation (they had gardens instead of road) and we are good to go. So I'm jumping up and down a tiny little bit and holding off the big leaps until I actually get the paperwork!

Final update from me on this thread - I have had my formal offer through today - so so pleased! Just over 3 weeks with a bit of back and forth in the middle  Good luck to everyone else waiting on a decision

    Amazing news! Congratulations 🎉
Did you just receive the first lot of questions? We had an email with a few queries on there so just wondering whether I should be expecting anymore x

    Thank you!
In the first round there was a request for another bank statement as we'd gone in to a new month, query on a pension payment on my payslip (ie what was it) and then some clarification on some address information in relation to the property I was buying. A few days later they asked for confirmation of deposit funds so sent them last month's savings account statement. That was it! Remarkably easy process given some of hte horror stories some appear to have had to go through. Good luck!

So got a call from our broker today saying the valuation has been instructed!! I asked if that meant good news and he said yeah and that he would be ringing them later. Rang me back an hour later and told me the application is all good and they are just waiting on the valuation! I'm so excited but trying not to get my hopes up as I know nothing is 100% until confirmed. Seems to be pretty good news so far woo 🎉 He thinks we should hear back next week or the start of the week after depending when the survey takes place.

They only tend to do a valuation if they are happy with everything else(previous papetwork) If anything flags on the valuation (price, or work needed)  they will either offer or offer recommendations xx
