Nearly half way through the week
Yesterday was a NSD for me.
We went out after work and bought packing boxes and bubble wrap but used our joint account so that doesn't count.
Going to make a start on the packing this weekend.
We both feel a bit weird about the move situation at the moment. With Christmas we haven't really moved any further with the sale of our flat or purchase of new house. We're not letting ourselves get excited just yet until we know everything is ok.
Whatever happens we are going through with the sale of our flat and moving in with my parents.
I upgraded my phone in November and sold my old phone back to them. I still haven't heard or received payment for it though. I went back to the store a week before Christmas and they said it could take 30 days. It's way over 30 days now and I want my £80. I'm going to phone them at lunch. It frustrates me because if I owed them £80 it would be a different story!
Anyway I'm hoping for all 4 working days to be NSD's this week.May 2015: £11685.56 / November 2017: £2076

Congrats on the debt busting - Kick their butts over you £80.00 I totally agree with you.

Thanks Sam!
I spent 35mins on the phone to My phone company at lunch time and apparently they just received payment for my phone today. Funny that. However they said I will have to wait until March/April for the money. I actually laughed out loud down the phone. It was either laugh or shout
I won't leave it there just working out my next steps!
Went to the gym after work. First day back. They closed for ten days over Christmas
Now I'm sat on the sofa watching football and eating chocolate. Lol! I swear I've got enough chocolate to last a few weeks. How is anyone supposed to start a January diet? At least it will help me keep up with NSD's coz they are usually broken when I have a chocolate cravingMay 2015: £11685.56 / November 2017: £2076

Ah so glad it's the weekend
it's only been 4 days but this week has felt long!!
I managed 3 NSD's this week. I broke it today by buying a bag of popcorn on my lunch.
It's my dads birthday next week so going to order his present online later.
I came home to a pile of paperwork in the post from our solicitors. Our deposit figure is written down wrong though. So annoying we got them on a Friday night when we can't do anything about it over the weekend. Finding this whole selling/buying thing really stressful
Going to spend this weekend going through everything in our flat and packing. I always feel good after a good declutter!

£300 dd payment onto cc1 this morning! That card is now down to £2750 and my total debt is £5050. I know it's sad but I've been looking forward to this payment coming out.
I really want to make a extra payment of £50 just to bring it down to £5k but I don't have enough in my account. I should hopefully be getting a small bonus at the end of the month so will put that towards debt.
I had a quiet weekend like I'd hoped and the only spends were on a present and card for my Dad.
We did a £35 food shop for the week on Saturday morning after the gym.
Then we spent the rest of the weekend decluttering and catching up on TV.
I'm not feeling great this morning. My throat hurts and I'm tired. I had a headache all day yesterday and to top it off there's a tube strike today!
Got a 45min walk to work once I've got to London
Hopefully the fresh air will do me good! Although it's dark and raining...May 2015: £11685.56 / November 2017: £2076

The walk wasn't so bad
bit wet and dark but an extra 5miles added to my steps today.
I won't be going to the gym after work. I'm getting straight into my comfy clothes and clhilling on the sofa.
Spent £10 on lunch today for a friends birthday. These lunches always pop up!
Going to try for at least 3 NSD's this week. Might be going to the cinema Friday. So will aim for no spending tomorrow, Wednesday and ThursdayMay 2015: £11685.56 / November 2017: £2076

I was doing so well
I started last week with £900 in savings and £200 from my holiday balance total now I'm down to zero in savings, £900 in the holiday fund and £11 to last me until payday on the 27th
Basically it's been a very expensive week. We have moved into my parents house now and it's cheaper to buy a months train ticket than pay as you go which is what I used to do from my flat. So that's £330 out my holiday fund.
Then we owed £200 for extras we paid on the new house.
£240 for a management pack from my housing association to sell our flat (we didn't know about this one).
£60 on my Dad's birthday present.
£67 for holiday insurance.
£42 to redirect my post for 6 months.
Oh and then the new home sales office phoned up asking for our £500 reservation fee!
We literally spent £1k in a day
Feel anxious now we literally have £0 in the house fund. I know that's what it was for and I'm so glad we had it saved but feeling pretty deflated now it's all gone.
I really want the sale of our ouse to hurry up so we have money again.
I always knew January was going to be tough but I was so close to paying the balance on our holiday and I feel like I've taken 2 steps backMay 2015: £11685.56 / November 2017: £2076

I totally get where your coming from regarding the savings but the positive thing you should take from it is that nothing was added to your debt and you'll get your savings back up in no time xxNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050

Thanks abba, you're totally right! A year ago I would have just paid for everything on credit card. The fact is I haven't added to any of my debt since July 2016 - it's just gone down :j
Thank youx

3 NSD's this week and I'm planning to make it 4 in a row today.
We were supposed to exchange on our new house last Monday but we are way off.
Our management company are being really annoying and slow and we are waiting on them to complete the sale of our flat.
We still haven't had our mortgage offer yet for the new home! The valuation was done last week so I'm hoping we get it soon. I knew we would never meet the exchange deadline.
I'm sure it's all fine and we will get the house I just wish things would just hurry up. It's been a stressful few weeks
This Saturday will be a day of packing and then on Sunday we are meeting friends for a pub lunch. I won't drink so shouldn't spend too much.May 2015: £11685.56 / November 2017: £2076
