Im 17 wanting to get a part time job would it affect my mothers housing benefits?

If you're still in full time education, your mum will be claiming child benefit and child tax credits so there will be no change in rent as you are still classed as a dependant.
It's only when you are classed as a non - dependant that you would have to pay towards the rent. That said, it would also depend on if your mum was claiming certain disability related benefits at that pointThere is something delicious about writing the first words of a story.
