Aww dizzy they do say the best way of showing them what you do all day is to not do it

Well, I'm at mums as her middle one bumped his head and went sleepy / vomity and has to be checked out. So I'm here with my two and the other two. Girls asleep, mini boy is fighting it and I can hear him but I don't think he's out of bed, and I'm about to send my eldest up now.

We will all have to sleep here as heaven knows when they'll be home and step dad is working in the north east.

Ah well. Hope the little fella is ok :/

Oh Dizzy my lovely have a huge hug :kisses3: Your DH is being very unkind and hugely unappreciative of what you do. I really do believe men are from Mars, my DH astounds me regularly with some of the tripe he comes out with.

You need to have a child free chat with him about this - if he really doesn't see what a huge contribution you make to family life he needs to be left to try and do it all for a week, see how he copes.... Xxx

Utterly awful day. Very distressing hospital visit, left DH with kids for five hours so house is a dump. More visitors tomorrow. For those who pray, please pray for my grandad's suffering to be over soon.

    Hugs to all xx

bossy.. I hope the small man is ok and home soon but an impromptu sleepover sounds great fun.

atb.. peaceful passing vibes for your grandad.. He is very lucky to have so many loving people surrounding him xx

Twinkle just gone to bed.. she has been super clingy tonight, my pet limpet! We're having a cuppa and heading up ourselves. I might sneak in a few rows of knitting or I may just head up with my cuppa.. the latter is most likely!

OH feeding the spaghetti's.. I feed everyone else, he feeds them!

I need to sort the tax credit stuff tomorrow to post on Monday.. and I need to put £70 in DD1s account on Monday.. I will be organised eventually.

Enormous (((hugs))) for Dizzy. I think a strike is called for....

Love and strength to ATB, and prayers for your grandad and all the family.

I have achieved less today than I would have liked to, but more than I did yesterday. I even managed to go upstairs twice. Miraculously, the house is still pretty tidy so tomorrow I might whizz round with the duster-on a-stick. I find I get stiff if I sit for too long and anyway I am bored with the TV, though still not able to concentrate for long enough to do any work requiring a brain.

One of our neighbour's sons got married this morning, and a couple from church had a tea party this afternoon to celebrate their Ruby Wedding, and we didn't make it to either event :(
On the plus side, I have remembered to defrost the joint for tomorrow's dinner, and there will be crackling :D

iona.. I'm sure given the circumstances they will let you off those events.. glad you are healing and becoming more mobile.. but do be careful! .. you need to move a little anyway, you put yourself at risk of DVT if you sit still forever (my excuse for dashing about)

    Good morning all.
    Dizzy & ATB - hugs
Iona - glad you're moving around a bit more now

It is pouring with rain here this morning, the kind that means all my plans for getting the garden pristine for judging this week have gone out of the window. LittleyDog will have to wait for a walk too.

I have been perusing on here this morning so have only sorted out all the flowers indoors at the moment.

    I now plan to:
    WUDUPA
Do some 'jogging' on the rebounder
    Bath
    Walk LittleyDog (weather permitting)
    Gardening (weather permitting)

If it carries on raining though I will:
    Do a fridge inventory/clean/menu plan
    Hoover/sweep/mop through the house
Catch up with some of this week's official list

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

DH is being a complete male hen. I'm starting not to like him very much, which isn't good. He told me today that he doesn't have to do anything once he gets home from work, because he is then finished for the day and my day just couldn't possibility be as stressed as his, so he needs his down time. Oh, and I make no financial contribution....!!!!!!? I own two houses, one of which provides an income equal to his and that's without my Carer's Allowance, I'm project managing [STRIKE]our[/STRIKE] my house restoration, I've bailed him out of £45K of personal debt and bringing up two children, three dogs and assorted farm animals. IS HE FOR REAL?

He is currently sulking somewhere as I told him to get lost. How convenient for him - he gets away with the bedtime [STRIKE]fiasco[/STRIKE] routine.

Rant over, but comments and suggestions welcomed.

So sorry to read this Dizzy. What prompted his outburst on the day in question? Has he apologised since? You have had a lot of stress recently havent you with the flooding. It can just tip someone who is usually lovely over the edge. Hugs.
