My investments are all in equities and 70% of them are overseas equities. My portfolio is worth more than ever before.

If your portfolio is priced in £, there's an obvious reason for that.

Everybody seems to be moaning about Brexit but it has all been positive for me so far.

I dont own a home, but if i choose to buy one in the next few years, two bed flats are now about £30k cheaper in my area.

I'd been diversifying out of UK stocks for some time - not a big punt but diverting dividends/ monthly top-ups to global trackers etc. I've also seen the value of my pension fund reach a record high. Some UK companies also pay dividends in US$ so they will convert to a higher sterling value. There's some volatility ahead but so far so good.

A week is far to early to see an effect on house prices. I'm looking at buying a bigger house and the ones I've been looking at are exactly the same price as last Friday.

Asking prices don't mean much on their own though do they.
There might be little competition and you put in an offer under asking price or alternatively loads of foreign investors bidding it up.
You're right it's far too early to say.
Would be interested in how it pans out.

    I've thought of another one.....

Our kids won't have to waste any more time learning these pesky foreign languages; should leave them more time for playing on their gamestation console thingys.

The price of wine should increase nicely which will be good for our collective livers.

Same for imported water which will be much better for the environment as we won't need to ship it.

The coming increases in oil and gas prices will mean a focus on energy efficiency and maybe people will walk or ride to make short journeys making us fitter.
