    Buy British.

get back to Tesco and Sainsburys

The three biggest owners/shareholders of Tesco and Sainsburys are Qatarian, Norwegian and American in that order... is that what you call "buying British?" ;)

surly likely to be a misunderstanding?

does he really want to rewind away from tree trade to tariffs and quotas?

Why would you think that? If the objective is to control or limit immigration from the EU, than leaving the single market is a requirement.

Haven't we just had a referendum?

In just over 24 hours he has drifted from 5/1 to 11/1, and Borris was in the betting market when he was 5/1, so he should have been around 7/2 after Borris's withdrawal if he was maintaining his position in the market.

So we all have to wait around to find out how Tory party members decide the correct version of leave.

    Gotta love democracy.

I have a hunch there`s millions of EU citizens looking on in envy at our democracy at the moment.

UK refuses to invoke until some kind of deal regarding immigration is arranged as prerequisite to talks.
UK vetos everything it can veto until some kind of deal is arranged

They obviously won't give up the single market without some kind of free movement, but no reason why it couldn't incorporate some kind of cap/waiting list. If more than 150,000 nett immigrants the rest have to queue with 1 out 1 in. Anyone who comes in excess of that wouldn't be entitled to work/benefits etc.
If Merkel won't agree, wait until she's gone. With German resentment over the 1million asylum seekers per year, she might be gone in 2017.

Speculation, but there are many possible negotiating posibilities..

sure thats going to work......they will just put up the middle finger if the uk tries to block their internal agendas while the uk is in the process of leaving

They obviously won't give up the single market without some kind of free movement,

everything has a price. I think they will give up free movement for full access to the market if the uk gives up the thatcher rebate. So we go from ~£10B a year in net contributions towards ~£15B a year in net contributions. The £100m a week might come from...the nhs budget...since everything seems to go there on promisses

but no reason why it couldn't incorporate some kind of cap/waiting list. If more than 150,000 nett immigrants the rest have to queue with 1 out 1 in. Anyone who comes in excess of that wouldn't be entitled to work/benefits etc.

its not so clear what will happen but its not a all one way street. What if the uk gets rid of EU migrants coming to the UK but the EU is happy for UK migrants to continue going to work and live in the EU. You may find the +150,000 a year net migration from Europe doesn't go to 0 but goes to a negative figure. have you considered what they might mean? What if it goes to -150,000 a year?
How will you fund pensions and the NHS with young workers leaving and the richer old folk retiring on the continent

If Merkel won't agree, wait until she's gone. With German resentment over the 1million asylum seekers per year, she might be gone in 2017.

you feel the UK can wait out the EU. Why cant the EU wait out the UK? How long can gove or whoever replaces Cameron wait? Until 2020? Well the EU can wait a hundred years they wanted the UK to stay so why are they worse off with things staying the same?

    Speculation,[/QUOTE]

    yes guesswork.
all good none of the bad
we should have left 40 years ago

I think the next government which has until 2020 before the elections will have to make its move. IF the gov wants to get rid of free movement its going to have to give something up the only thing I can see that it can give up is the thatcher rebate.

Of course it can possibly walk out of the EU market and go it alone. Something most the EU exit cheerleaders said would never need to happen
