    Photogenic Debt-free and Proud!
    Good morning everyone.

A spendy weekend for me however that's it out the way and should set up a cheaper month ahead. In saying that, I saw some amazing sales on so I may have to buy some birthday/xmas presents.

Today will be a NSD as I bring my lunch into work and my GF has paid for badminton tonight.

I chose kindness over the weekend and helped someone I know put together his gym. None of his friends came to help and so his GF asked my GF if I'd help. I hardly know the guy but I wanted to help. I'd like to think someone would do the same if it was me.

Oh Gosh, I missed loads. Just a quick update then and then off to read.

Had Friday off as I had a doctors appointment, DD had her 27 months checkup and we had DS "graduation" from nursery in the afternoon. In between, me and DH went and priced up what we need to finish the kids play area in the garden (about 250 for fencing and bark for the ground). Then we went for lunch just the two of us. Unexpencted spend but lovely.

Saturday was the big shop in Aldi and a smaller one in an overpriced farm shop. But their meat is heaven. Also got a hedge trimmer (£60 down to £35) and nearly cut through the cable the first time I used it, lol. Not sure how I managed that as the damage was only 5 inches from the handle. Anyway, electrical tape fixed it. Sunday was my first SFD as we spend it on the beach roasting marshmallows and stick bread.

Today or tomorrow I will need to spend again as I will buy the rest of DS school uniform and an iron. Will need to iron now  and the iron I have is full of snowboard wax :rotfl:. Saw one on Amaz)n down from 60 to £23 and I will hopefully get £14 vouchers from my surveys soon so only need to spend 9 quid :T

Off to work a bit and then catch up with the last few days on here in a while

    My meal plan:

breakfast is muesli for me with some fruit, milk and natural yogurt

lunch this week with be vegetable salads with added protein like tuna or chicken

dinners, not really thought yet. Got so much meat, eggs and veg in the house. Will have a think tonight maybe as there are also some veg ready in the garden that I don't want to go to waste. I think tonight will be Bokkeumbap (a Korean rice and vegetable dish with egg). I got a free trial box from Simply cook and will try this one out first.

My DH has been shopping at Mr A's to get some seafood sauce as he was having prawns on his jackets. He has come back with 8 muffins, scones, 3 boxes of cereal, magnums and other bits - I am not impressed - we are supposed to be trying to only spend £50 a week on food and he's just spent £30 on rubbish!!

Shop days for me are Saturday and Monday, so a spending day for me today. A small shop in Lid* but more spent than I wanted

I’m decluttering old batteries and kitchen utensils today. Dropped them off.

I’m taking DECLUTTERING a step further this month and I’m decluttering my brain of some of the things that take up head space and quietly nag at me in the background. For me its admin/bureaucracy stuff but physical stuff does the same to me too.

So, I am working on updating/various official papers and providing information to my bank. I’ll do a few things daily towards these bigger goals :)

I picked up 2 forms from the post office (car and passport related)
Called my bank to check on their requirements
Called national debt line to address a nagging fear and obtain accurate information
Dug out a C/T bill to photocopy when next in at work

I was ACTIVE. I walked for a total of an hour today. Found it tiring, maybe the weather, maybe my poor fitness levels. I also picked up the timetable for exercise classes. I’ve noticed julijim and Bob build lots of activity into their day and ultimately walking loads and a weekly exercise class once a week is where I see myself going. I need some good walking shoes in the near future. I used to love MTBs but they are difficult to find and afford now. I'll work on it.:)

I DID FOR MYSELF by tackling my garden for 30 minutes. :)

For my future VISUALISATION I cleaned my dining table with beeswax. :)

I wasn’t kind, far from it, I was stress-y and grumpy today :(

mothernerd I love foxgloves and hot baths too :)

    Happy Monday turtles

    Hi All

Just feeding the troops - tuna and jackets tonight for both kids. A tip I picked up from the lovely Foxgloves of Small Things fame, is to use a jacket potato night as a vehicle for odds and ends using up. I believe she freezes small portions of toppings and then she and her husband choose what to have on the jackets. So tonight I am having my jacket with leftover chicken curry & OH has the vegetarian bean mix from last nights fajitas. Will serve with fresh salads and grated cheese. I try to do this weekly.

I have been working on my big choice today, the one to keep my premises but repurpose it. So I have emailed a company that did some filming with us last year chasing any more work, followed up on an enquiry for a supper club & looked at the cost of advertising in the local rag. Have also been dealing with telling various customers who have ranged from not giving a bleep to sadness at the change.

I walked to the shop this morning which is about 45 mins, then down to the bank, about another 30 mins on, then the bus I took tonight ended about 20 mins from home so we walked that bit too. So a decent amount of walking done.

    Found 5p roadkill.

I tried to make someones day better by telling the lovely cashier in Icyland how her cheerful attitude is lovely & really appreciated. She said she was tired today so I just told her that she is always so cheerful & makes us feel good. Hopefully that helped her a bit.

Posted an ebay item off so thats my declutter for the day.

Right time to bath the baby :)

    Bob

JulieJim Grrr to budget blowing hubbys. Can you still come in on target by rearranging meals? Or is it a straight no way now?

Doingitanyway You sound like you had a productive day, and that you have a good handle on your goals

Speky Well done on your kindness for the day.

Thrifty is the farm shop expensive or is it just not supermarket meat prices? Sounds like good produce so dont feel bad for choosing to support UK farmers.

Checking in on day 4. Spent 5.40 on a train fare from my Grandads house to my sisters house. Tomorrow will also be a spend day as going out with two of my brothers for lunch. Top Tip for the day, my fitness pal is an app that monitors your calorie intake and helps you set targets. My sister told me about another app called Headspace which shows you how to approach mindfulness and to be mindful. I am going to try this with her.
