In the last week, I've earned £3 on Prolific, 45p on UK Surveys, £2.35 from TopCashback and £24 from Textbroker.
I've also had a great week for competition wins including a weekend away with £150 towards travel and another win of £50 Sports Direct vouchers. I won't count the £150 as we wouldn't have spent this normally but will add the £50, as it will be very handy for new trainers and shorts for my son (plus £10 voucher went into his friend's birthday card saving me buying a gift).0 -

Congratulations on the wins, cte1111:T:j:beer:
Whenever I read of people's wins on here it gives me the kick up the bum that I need to put my full attention to comping again. Back in the day when we had to track down entry forms and suchlike I was comping all the time. Going shopping was an adventure:rotfl:. Now, with so many comps just needing a 'click' or 'liking' something on Facebook (no use to me as I've closed my account ages ago) I can't get enthusiastic somehow:o. My loss, I know. Will try to do better;)0 -
I hope you're all enjoying the sunshine today:beer:
Just popped in with a techie question. I'm wary of venturing onto the Techie Board, they can be pretty scathing and sarcastic if anyone asks anything as basic as what I need to know:eek:. I know people on here are the kindest on MSE:A
My laptop is running Windows 7 and I've always used IE as my browser. Suddenly today I saw my email programme was looking funny and I got a popup from BT that my browser is no longer supported and I need to upgrade it to get the latest version of the mail programme back.
I already have the latest IE version installed anyway so the only option is to use Chrome or Firefox. I really don't want to stick with this very basic version of the email programme as it's just so, well, basic:(. I'm a bit fed up with other aspects of IE as well so it's probably a good time to change.
If any of you use either Chrome or Firefox, which would you recommend for someone as untechie as me:o please?0 -
I prefer Firefox over Chrome myself, as I have a bad internet connection and I find that Chrome often disconnects pages that it thinks are taking too long to load. I do use Chrome quite a bit at the moment though as my Firefox is going through a phase of not loading Gmail for me XD0

I've earned £4 from a mystery shop (fee was £12 but had to spend £8, at least gave me something to do whilst waiting for my son who was at a birthday party). Also earned £3 from My surveys, including £1 from a referral.
I've applied to change my gas and electricity to Npower, which should hopefully earn me £60 from quidco plus I'm in credit with my old supplier, hoping for a refund of about £80. I won't count these until they are through though.
I complained to Talk Talk that they were removing several channels, after some backwards and forwards they've offered me a £20 credit. I'm still not happy, as it clearly seems like a material change which would mean a breach of contract but for now will accept the credit as I haven't the energy to find another package and switch again!0 -
Earned £1 from Qmee.0

:j congratulations to you and EdinburghGirl!
I have played freepostcodelottery since he started, still waiting for my postcode :rotfl: I can't complain. I do alright on the others but his jackpots are higher.... :T:beer:
so people, you read it here, real people are winning. make sure you sign up using someone's referral link from the referral board and leave your own.
The more we sign up to these free lotteries, the more support they get, the bigger the prizes and we benefit x0 -

I love Chrome and have used it for a long time. with new win 10 IE is updated to something called Microsoft Edge which is probably why your server is struggling with you being on IE. they have probably configured it for Edge. I dont like Edge, just like I dont like IE, so am happy using chrome.
I agree it does shut pages if it is taking too long to connect but that is rare for me. usually when out and about using free wifi.
I dont like firefox even though have used it before. it always seemed to be in beta version, testing and never fully functioning. too many things were turned off, had to be turned on, didnt work, weren't compatible etc.
hope this techy talk helps CBC x0
