Hi Payless
I personally have no probs with your sig, but, it does seem that if you link through to your link it promotes business for you, again I have no problem with that, but I own an online shop selling childrens clothes, would i be able to have as my sig line something that says whilst I am the owner of a childrens clothes shop, my comments on here etc etc but click here for MSE page on my site with contact details?, i dont think so0 -
also I meant to say that I only mentioned you in the post because you had replied to original poster, this is probably a little unfair because i know that a lot of people do this, and like i say i have nothing against this at all.0

Hi Jim
But the selling of children's clothes is not a government body regulated envirnoment
As I have said on many ocassions, the level of business transacted ( all with rebate) is a small % of the queries answered.
But if martin / Mods prefer I will happily delete/ amend my signature
I think it would add spice to this whole site if those of us with true business interests could add more details about our business, so long as the businesses / sites where of material, and not just pyramid or affilaite links

edit to your last post .. perhaps that shows I'm prepared to contribute to threads , and not just the areas that I might gain , even if I know it might be thrown back at me.Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
I agree with you, and can see and understand why you need to put a disclaimer on the sig in your posts, cant see why you need your weblink in the post though and why others are prohibited from doing this. But fairplay to you, and as I say I agree with you on the above post. And again I only pointed you out as you had posted originally (sorry)0

do what? if you don't mind me asking0 -
put a disclamier in the sig saying this should not be taken as professional advise but give a weblink to their own business site
as I said i am not against this as such but do feel that if one person is allowed to do this then everyone should be.0 -

I have put this a sig file, seems pretty obvious to me
HomeWorkerForum.ws
Caution this link takes you to my forum where you're allowed to post affiliate links, both on the forum and in your signature . If you don't like this then please ignore this!0 -
I will move this over to the this site board as it is more a subject for there really now.
Only abcon can permanently remove signatures. Board guides can only remove them from a single post. Obviously abcon decided that your signature broke the rules and then removed it. Abcon and Martin do have the final say as to what signatures breach the rules.0 -
Because of the nature of your forums I can understand why the URL is NOT allowed in your signature:
May advice to you would be to create a simple homepage named "Index.HTM" and place it on your domain name root directory.
Within the body of this newly created file I would use the wording from this post Click Here on this "Index.HTM" page you could also have a link to MSE & also to your forums.
By doing this you will be seperating "Referral URLS" from the URL in your signature, it would then comply with the MSE site rules & everyone would be happy.
I hope you find this information helpful & resolve your signature sooner rather than later.
Regards
Tony H0
