Thank you to Piggers for last weeks thread.
Do not lose heart if you cannot keep up with everyone else or reading the thread, don't try to reply to everyone and please remember to include something about flying in all your posts.
Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.
Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up
These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.
Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

Thank you to Natty for starting the new thread and to Pigpen for last week's lists.
Very well done to CY's DDs :T:T
Dizzy, I hope the coming week is kinder to you than this one was x
Today I have managed to sort some paperwork including my tax return (except that the calculation uses figures that I did not enter, so I will have to ring HMRC tomorrow. I got a full refund on a defunct 10-month-old shredder which was still under MrT's guarantee :j and I went to the garden centre for a stake to repair the trellis (but it rained so I didn't manage to get the repair done). Meanwhile DH mowed the lawn
This week is going to be manic. Tomorrow DH wants us to go out for the day, even though we were away on Thursday and Friday, but it's our last chance before I have my foot op on Thursday and am then laid up for at least a month. On Tuesday I have my induction evening at college, ready for September, so expect to be given a reading list of massive proportions  On Wednesday [STRIKE]I am[/STRIKE] we are going to clean all through the house.
Tomorrow I also need to
- write a rough meal plan, based mainly on what's in the freezer
- send 2 emails to potential speakers for the Old Wives
- post a letter
- write names on the new packs of church envelopes
- update our charity accounts
- check if I need to do a Gift Aid claim
Hope everyone has a good week x0 -
Thanks Natty for the thread

Its been one of those days. I'm hoping this coming week is a lot smoother running with less things for me to have to be out of the house for. I might carry on with the list when I've washed up etc since I'm going to be up for at least an hour before I can go for my bath.
:wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Evening all
I'm in again and thank you Natty for this week's thread and Pigpen for last week's.
Sorry I've been absent but the decision on Thursday kind of knocked me for six. Had the dreaded BD following me around ever since. I'm really worried about what will happen now, especially for my DS in Ibiza and our future plans for moving to Spain.
At least it's Wimbledon fortnight about to start.

Thanks for threads.
Back from a good weekend, we were so lucky with the weather - watched a lot of thunderstorms and torrential rain from the pub having dinner, but didn't get wet motorbiking and it was lovely and sunny for the canoe trip. Feel as if were were in a time warp or watching the world through frosted glass since the referendum result; I woke early on Fri and turned tablet on and we caught a few bits of news. Odd no one seems to have mentioned the nearly 30% of the population who didn't bother to vote, though plenty said about old people who have supposedly wrecked the world for young people.
Anyway I can have a day to catch up tomorrow as the assessment planned has emailed me asking to change it to Friday. Having had a quick look round the garden which has grown hugely since Thursday, I'm not going to be short of things to do, not to mention unpacking and washing stuff. We returned to find no gas to the house, which is a bit of a worry considering our neighbour's works ok. Can't ring the company till tomorrow as it isn't an emergency.
However, Mr N will be flying too tomorrow as it is his first Monday with no work!Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Oh Iona how will you cope? You will have to join CY on our virtual sofa. Glad you had a nice time Narco.
Awful nights sleep so I admitted defeat and gave in and got up at 5am.
I am not at job no. 1 today so I am continuing with a bit of decluttering. After yesterdays efforts the hall cupboard is now usable again so some things can be rehomed into there. I will not allow it to slip again. I would love to spring clean DS2s bedroom too but I am mindful of limited time so need to think about what needs to be done first.
Oh and weather is grim here, dark and rainy but quite warm. Have a good day everyone, will check in later x0 -
Good Morning all,
Thank you Natty and Pigpen for the lists x
I have been up since 6, WM is on, DW has been unloaded and I've sent some work emails for DH. Bright blue skies but very windy. DS is going to his auntie's today, so me and DD have a day together. I have some jobs to crack through this morning including an Aldi trip and a post office trip, then this afternoon we are having girly time. She keeps wittering on about Shopkin Surprises, I have no idea what they are, must google and see what on earth she is on about!
Lynne - I have felt the same since Thursday. it's all very unsettling and makes me very fretful for our future. Thank goodness for the likes of Mark Carney in a world where everything else has gone mad.
Dizzy - here's to a better week for you
YL - well done for your decluttering yesterday. I have two huge bagfuls in the boot of the car to go to the CS today, where it all comes from is beyond me.
Right, I am off to make myself some cheese on toast, just what I fancy this morning.
Have lovely days all xx PS Its Wimbledon fortnight now wooo hooo! xx:)MFW

Morning all. Another week kicks off and I'm in. Hope you're all ok and that you sort out your hot house Nicki - that one made me laugh.
Today I have done the Mondailies (as Piggers would say) and have one load of washing on the line. Some of the Mondailies are things on today's list so woohoo to me.
Time to make a cuppa now and start on the paid stuff.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Ty Natty..

Needless to say I didn't get the dinner I had spent an hour cooking, DS3 is super distressed and I cant get him out to college today. I'm back on the phone with the solicitor today... Morning all.
I'm running on 3 hours sleep todayI need to be in bed by 11pm tonight. Already done some of the list last night though so slightly ahead. Making individual lasagne for tea due to how little pasta I have left for it. I need to pad out the small pack of meat I got with lentils and veg. I didn't realise how small the pack was as it was a home delivery item.

Kid's last week of school this week and then ds will be finished primary school forever  how did that happen! Last week of sanity for me lol but at least no school run in the middle of the day gives me more time.
I really think we need some positive thinking about this referendum result, all the negativity, especially by the media, is not going to help the markets recover...but hey ho
