Have you got a datacable or bluetooth ?0

The E700 doesn't have bluetooth if I remember correctly, so a data cable is your best bet. You can pick them up on ebay for a couple of quid and they usually come with the necessary software too.0

If you do buy a cable try and buy it from somewhere that will take it back if it doesn't work.
I used to have an E700 and also wanted to transfer ringtones etc to it and bought a cable from Ebay and it didn't work. Thinking I had been sold a dud I bought another one from a proper mobile phone shop and it still didn't work but at least they took it back.
I had downloaded all the correct software from Samsung's website so couldn't understand why it wasn't working and contacted their customer services via e-mail and after trying a few different options they said they couldn't help and it wasn't technically a fault so they wouldn't replace it.
I posted on this website for help and someone suggested the infra red was good so I bought one of these and tried that but this didn't work either.
When I phoned Samsung they said this method could only be used to transfer data - not ringtones or pictures!!.
(I am now using the infra red on my son's Sony Ericson K500i very successfully)
We also tried the cables and infra red in my niece's phone E700 and they didn't work with hers either.
Don't get me wrong - I know they do work as I have heard other people have plenty of success with them and I don't know why mines won't but as I say try and get a cable that you can return if it doesn't work.0
