171 miles at the end of week 9 so I have made up my deficit and am on track.
I also averaged 13,000 steps over the week with no day below 10,000 so that is another plus.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

Hello, did you miss me? I'm just back from a long walk, from Newcastle Centre to the Humber Bridge, 136 miles, it took me seven days of hard slog. That brings my total for the year to 336.
Boy do my feet hurt, but because I walk every day anyway, I have had no aching muscles in my legs. I think I am having a day off tomorrow.

I ended week 10 on 199 against my 1000 mile target of 191. I also managed to average 12,000 steps a day over the week although I had a couple of days just under the 10,000 target.
I even managed a 6k gentle jog, and plan to do another tonight as the weather is so lovely.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

After a a knee injury, illness and finally a big concert at Wembley Arena i can now get back on track with this years walking challenge
Just updated my excel spreadsheet and i am only on 206 miles for the year so its back to the walking boots at weekend
Got Pen-Y-Ghent coming up towards the end of April so a bit of training needed for that and will also be leading a walk around my local haunt of Rivington in Lancashire soon so need to get back in shape for that too

I ended week 11 on 232 against my 1000 mile target of 211. I also managed to average 14,000 steps a day over the week with just 1 day marginally under the 10,000 target.
I managed a 6.6k gentle jog too.

I'm struggling to walk at the moment. I had a massive cramp in my calf, left leg, in the early hours of Monday morning. Felt my muscle was all twisted, almost fainted with pain. Massaged it and went back to bed. Two and a half days later I still have pain, feels very sore. Don't know if it's best to rest, or to try some exercise. It's raining at the moment so I suppose that's a good enough excuse to stay indoors.

I ended week 12 on 259 against my 1000 mile target of 230. I also managed to average 12,500 steps a day over the week although I had a couple of days just under the 10,000 target.
I am now choosing to walk to town if I need to go, rather than drive or bus. It is only 1.5 miles each way so I am shocked it has taken this challenge to highlight an easy change to make for the better.
I might try and go for a jog tonight as it is another lovely day - I am still getting to grips with wearing glasses, after years of contacts, and I am a bit clumsy so I may just go for a walk instead.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans
