Hi all, was also hoping if anyone other than the person who asked the question in the first place has got their refund yet?? You guys with your £7 incurred charges saying how outrageous it is, I am waiting on a refund from these scum bags for over £120, I would really appreciate it if someone could kindly get back to me.
Thanks all.0 -
Thank you for the email template. I have sent it, along with a break down of each charge I have been receiving since December 2013 to the sum total of around £65!
Chasing this refund now so i'll update to let others know how it goes.
It is sickening that companies can get away with this... I feel disgusted that i've been paying these charges for almost a year now and it was only by chance I realised, so it could have gone on much longer.
I'm not sure about any one else but i'm not one to check the detailed break down of my phone bill regularly - that's definitely changed now!!0 -
Hi Shellyk6666,
I sent off your template letter on the 14/09/2014 and I received my refund in PayPal a week later which I transferred to my Bank account successfully.
Shellyk6666 Thank you very much for your advice tip. To everyone else who has asked the question 'do you get back a refund?' YES YOU DO...I DID.:T:j0 -
Hi all, a special thanks to shellyk6666. I noticed today that my fathers account has been charged 0.825 plus vat for a good few months. Copied your letter and sent it through to them earlier this afternoon. Got a reply that they will refund me 45.54 through paypal within 10 working days. Once the funds are cleared I'll post back to confirm. Thanks once again :T0

I discovered today that BG - Buongiorno- have been charging my EE account £1.25 weekly. As I had not signed up for this, I understand it to be theft. I've sent the e-mail requesting refund of the payments they have taken.
This is a scam that needs to be publicised and reported and I will do as much as I can to do both. It is particularly worrying that the EE 'advisor' I spoke to about the payments was unhelpful and aggressive ... and that there seems to be some suggestion that EE & Buongiorno are part of the same company.0 -
Clearly this scam is still going on... :-(
I just checked my latest bill and see that I have been charged £1.25 every week since December 1st.
As others have done, I've sent off the standard letter and hoping (expecting!) to get a full refund. There are 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't!0 -
I'd like to thank shellyk6666 for the above letter, It's just got me a refund of over £100
& just taught me a lesson in checking my phone bill more often and not just moaning about how much Orange had raised my bill
Honourable mention to EE here, They did stop any more charges being applied & patched me straight through to the robbing sods (unfortunately being a sunday they closed) Ended up on this page & altered the email to suit EE and got my refund email this afternoon. One happy chappy0 -
Well £100+ has just gone into my paypal account so the email does work
Makes you wonder how many people must be unaware of this going on for them to refund you so quickly, They must be coining it in
Thank you shelly66660 -
Just logged on to my t.mobile account as myself and my husband are due an upgrade next month, that robbing lot have been taking 0.825p out of my account since May 2014. Cant believe Ive not noticed Im usually careful about these kind of things, will be send an email off shortly hopefully I will get a speedy responce and my £27ish back! Its like they have set up a direct debit through your phone account without your acknowledgment:eek:. Truly shocking.Smoke free since 16th Dec 2009

I unwittingly assumed these charges outside my plan were from using lots of local rate numbers, including voicemail. Being too busy is no excuse for not checking my itemised bills I know.
Happened to come across this scam after reviewing my contract options as I am nearing the end of my current term. Glad I did! Been charged every month since May 2014.
Anyway, Emailed template and will post back with the outcome.
What would people like me do without forums like MSE!0
