Do you work for I Fitness YOU seem to be defending these companies?
No. I wasn't defending anyone, but acknowledging the continuous trickle of people who blame everyone else (in capital letters, rants or both) but themselves because they didn't do what what they should have done to avoid a preventable problem.0 -

Don't blame O2, it could have been most of the companies. Your SIM card works almost like a credit card in that it can be used to charge thongs to your phone account.
You alone chose to ignore a company telling you that they'd initiated a subscription on your behalf and would be charging you.
IIRC, iFitness are known for this, read the whole thread and check the regulator's (PSA) site.0 -
Result!
It's not arrived yet but O2 have offered to fully refund me £147 and block any future 3rd party intrusions into MY PRIVATE phone account.
So to you who gave me condescending replies about blaming everyone else and not checking my bills and how easy this is to avoid, thanks for nothing.
I came here for advice, not skittish replies.0 -

Then ignore the advice and continue to ignore your bank statements for years on end until it all happens again (if it hasn't already without your noticing it).0 -
Hi There
I received my 02 Bill today only to find it was £18 more than usual??? When I phoned 02 they said I must of clicked on a pop up banner and that I would need to contact the Company direct Buongiorno.com. I said I’ve nevet heard of them!! O2 said they would block future online payments but I can’t help but feel let down by 02! Shouldn’t they check first??? Or have some kind of authorisation process. They should be helping to protect their consumers surely???
I have phoned the number given 02076499636 and spoke to a very disinterested lady called Andrea. She said I’d have to email their billing team. I explained how perplexed I was having to do all this running around when I never even signed up in the first place. I said this practice
should be illegal. She could not of cared less!! So I’ve emailed them demanding my money back.
I really can’t believe this practice is legal?? If they take money without your consent then surely it’s theft???
Anyway I would strongly advise people to speak to their mobile companies and ensure there is a ban on unauthorised online payments!0
