If you don’t do anything your service will go on to a rolling contract at the normal undiscounted price. Some people get an invitation for slightly cheaper but it won’t be at your current £18. More likely somewhere between £25-35 I would guess.iwant2asave said:I'm on M250 broadband and phone only. Currently paying £18 after discounts. Contract ends in early Feb.
Wondering what deals others with M250 have got. If I can keep that price I'd be happy. Do they normally send a renew letter with offers or do I need to contact them first?1 -
I had same package and it went upto £51 few weeks ago and I phoned them and said I wish to leave due to price. They offered same package for £22 for a month and I took the offer.iwant2asave said:I'm on M250 broadband and phone only. Currently paying £18 after discounts. Contract ends in early Feb.

I've put in my cancellation today. Lets see if they get back to me with a better deal.Dave_Gosport said:Hi all,
My contract is coming to an end soon. This is my package which I'm paying £81 a month for. (I have a welcome offer discount which ends on the 28th Jan 2024 and a Sky Movies discount which ends on the 21st June 2024. In total Cr£62)Biggest TV bundle £143.00
This includes
Sky Sports HD Pack
Sky Sports and Cinema Collection
Maxit TV
M350 Fibre Broadband
Virgin TV 360 Box
Netflix Standard
Voicemail Free
Weekend chatter
Sky Sports & Cinema Ultra HD
Telephone Line Rental
When I can put my 31 days notice to cancel, what price should I be aiming for as I obviously don't want to be paying £143.
Thanks & Merry Christmas.

I got that for £55 a couple of weeks back, although no UHD as it was awful on my tv, made everything lot darker so binned that. Also had anytime calls, though that’s not a lot of use as the phone is not even plugged in!Dave_Gosport said:

Thought I'd share my recent experience. Was on £48/month for Volt 350MB broadband, MaxIT TV (including Sky Sports HD and TNT sports). Package jumped to £117 in December once my discounts and contract ended. Phoned to cancel and was immediately offered £75 for the same package. Declined and proceeded with disconnection.I was then called by retentions a week later (just before Christmas) and offered the same package for £68. Declined again.Yesterday (3rd Jan) I was sent a text saying VM want to speak to me regarding my disconnection. I clicked the link to live chat and the agent offered me the same package for £64. I asked about the Mega bundle available for new customers and they said that will work out more expensive for me. Declined once again!Cut to this morning, 6 days before disconnection, and I receive another text asking me to contact them. I call them this time and they said they will see if they can better the offer received via chat yesterday. They offered: change to Mega bundle - upgrade to Volt 500MB broadband, Mega TV (including Sky Sports HD, TNT, Cinema), Netflix Standard, Anytime Chatter on landline - all for £55/month for 18 months. I bit their hand off!Just goes to show it works to remain patient, stand your ground and don't accept the first (second or third!) retention offer they give you!2

I got a call back the day after I put in my cancelation. After reading the last post I wish I waited to get an offer like that!PZ19 said:

I basically told the guy that I wasn't bothered with Sports or Cinema now and was offered Mega TV, M350 Fibre Broadband, Weekend chatter and Voicemail Free for £55 a month which will also go up again in April due to the RPI.
I took it but like I said, I wish I waited a bit longer.0 -
Just cancelled today - M250 + Talk Weekends. Contract had gone from £18 to £25 today, with a jump to £62 next month. Best they could do on the phone was a new contract for £37 - it was all I could do not to laugh!
Let's see what comes in the next 30 days. Sounds like £22 should be my target for retention right now...0 -
Contract ending this Month was paying £21 for M250 BB only from last retentions deal.Retentions rang this morning after me cancelling a few days ago.Offered me the same for £22, told him I needed to cut bills as can’t afford the increases, April etc…
£19 offer accepted. 18 Month Contract.0 -
Did you also have the basic phone line included? If so then my previous post is already out of date and I should be targeting £19!Kev27 said:Contract ending this Month was paying £21 for M250 BB only from last retentions deal.Retentions rang this morning after me cancelling a few days ago.Offered me the same for £22, told him I needed to cut bills as can’t afford the increases, April etc…

No mate, just broadband only. Obvs I’m aware it will rise to around £22 in April so I’m not ecstatic, but it’s still at the lower end price wise which is good enough for me. Good luck with your haggling. 🤞artyboy said:
