Thanks Speky, Honey and Scott. Happy New Year to you all.
Well first day back is done. Our Head teacher is off sick with very bad flu - he has a sicknote until the end of next week! So it’s made a more relaxing day :rotfl:
My goals are just to reduce the debt (mainly my kitchen debt) add to my savings when I can and keep within my budget.0 -
Glad your first day back went well Louby xxMummytogirls x0

2018 plans - reduce debt0 -
Hi everyone, have just realised I haven’t been on here for a bit. Lots of school stuff and feeling a bit down with dark mornings and evenings. Money stuff is ticking along ok.
I’m probably going to end up in my overdraft very slightly but it’s free up to £250 and I won’t be anywhere near that.
My new kitchen table was delivered last weekend -we had to put the legs on ourselves and in the process of doing that we realised that the supporting bits of wood had a great big crack in one side. Took loads of photos and rang the company who apologised and said to use it until they can get a new one to us, which could be a couple of weeks. Love the table though but am not putting up with faulty goods.
The 2 comfy chairs which should have been arriving early March are now a month later and not coming until the 10 April!!! This kitchen will never be finished.0 -
6 NSD so far!
We did a lovely 12km walk yesterday. I racked up 16,000 Fitbit steps.
I attempted a Quorn bolognese for tea which was quite nice, lower calories and on offer in Tesco.
We watched some TV last night and now it’s Sunday. The weekends just go so fast.
I’ve spent a couple of hours doing school stuff and now I really need to start the ironing.0 -
Morning. We'll done you. I picked up some of the quorn too! Not made anything with it yet. Hope you have a good week. XxThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I've never tried it. Is there huge taste difference?0

The texture is different Speky. It sort of takes on the taste of whatever you put it with. We will definitely have it again. It was £1.58 I think in Tesco for 500g. We normally buy the really low fat mince which can be £5 for 1kg so it’s loads cheaper.0

Ahhh, so it also makes sense financially. Ok, I too might give it a try. You've inspired me!!
Have you any mamoth walks planned this week? I hope the snow doesn't reach your neck of the woods.0
