Well yesterday was my eldest sons birthday - he was 18!!! So now I have an adult child, I really don't know how that happened.

He spent the morning with us, bacon sandwiches, cards, gifts and money and then my parents called over on their way to take my nephew and niece home, they bought more cards and money!! We had cake and looked at baby photo's - ahhh!

I took my son over to his dads as he was going to spend the afternoon with that side of the family. He had a really good birthday and got to buy his dad and grandad a pint in the pub.

The rest of the day was spent doing very little. It snowed on and off for most of the day and by 8pm we got the text that all our local schools were shut.

So today has been a snow day!!

I walked into our village to collect a prescription and bought coffee and a few other bits. Spent 3 hours doing some school work, tackled the ironing and then have chilled and caught up on a bit of TV.

Speky I’m 99% ready, I’m just waiting on one gift from ebay which should arrive tomorrow hopefully.

Tree is up, cards (the few that I send these days) have been posted and everything is wrapped.

Looking forward to a restful Christmas and to recharge my batteries.

Just waiting on 75p to then cash out £40 on OnePoll - fingers crossed I can do it by next week but at 10p /15p a survey it could take a while.

Now I'm waiting on 5p - OnePoll don't add surveys over the weekend so it will be Monday before I can get to £40 and cash out!

Wow, you're organised...I've still got to wrap presents and get a few more cards written. When does your term end?

We finish on Tuesday! We have a trip tomorrow afternoon, party on Tuesday morning and then church on Tuesday afternoon. It was all re-jigged because our trip was cancelled on Friday because the roads around our school were dangerous. Three cars got stuck and one crashed.

It's going to be crazy! But i'm quite looking forward to it!
