    Indeed.

I doubt gfxplus knows what the ONS is from over in Luxembourg.

I thought politicians were clever enough to address the concerns of people.

It really doesn't matter on the precise numbers.

If you ask people to break down their concerns over migration then you can address those issues. Remain seem unable to face the issue head on.

Anyway, regarding Merkel she is still a democratically elected leader. Sapphire seems to think she is something else.
Yes, she's democratically elected as the leader of Germany, but she's operating as the undemocratically unelected leader of Europe. Germany has far too much influence in the EU, they're calling all the shots. Look at the damage she's caused to Europe by waving through a million people without any oversight. Look at the economic turmoil inflicted on Greece and other countries by policies designed to help Germany. Nobody else in Europe gets a vote on her.

Admittedly, Germany's dominance will continue whether we're in or out. Indeed some nations worry that without the UK in the EU then Germany's even stronger, which is completely possible. But if we're out, at least we're not dancing to the tune of Merkel.
This is everybody's fault but mine.

I dread to think what would happen to gdp per head in Luxembourg if Brexit weere followed by the unravelling of the EU....
Even if Britain leaves and the EU manages not to unravel, GDP in Luxembourg could fall if all those multinationals actually have to pay tax in the UK rather than their British sales magically being made by a company in Luxembourg.

I believe Germany is entitled to make decisions for herself, just as the UK or any other sovereign nation is.

Could you explain the mechanism by which Germany is calling the shots in Europe? There are 28 member states, all of whom get a vote on any issue. How is Germany controlling all of these votes?

Cos after all it is not as if once the 2m plus economic migrants Germany has admitted will be free to travel to the UK once they have been naturalised......

I'm getting a little unsettled with Jo Cox's tragic death being used by politicians in the campaign (too much name dropping). This is unwelcome and proving to be a distraction from the important debate, especially as the person who did it was obviously not of sound mind and his political views/reasons for doing this are warped and unrepresentative of either 'side'. Please keep her out of this and don't try to make her a martyr.

I believe they are competing to equal the 'WW3'
    and Tusk

European Council president Donald Tusk has warned that a UK vote to leave the EU could threaten "Western political civilisation".
