that was quick gocat....
I'm always very concious of charities and freebies....and believe that you should only request packs etc if you genuinely are going to host the event and pledge support...
I guess it's a "personal line " thing and where metaphorically someone draws theirs....and I didnt want anyone thinking that it was a free box without strings.
Neither did I want to intentionally offend anyone who is going to support the charity.
btw...Macmillan coffee mornings are around at the end of September and thats always a good excuse for a coffee and cake and our local one usually pulls in a good donation too.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

I really do urge everyone to read this...
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/tax-free-savings
its not a case of, 'oh i can only earn £1000 in interest before I pay tax', it all depends on how much you earn.
Thank you for that link - I've read it through several times and I might as well fess up and admit that I STILL don't quite understand the rules ! That article seems to be saying that, provided I don't have more than my personal allowance ( £11000) I can earn £1000 interest under the new scheme PLUS up to £5000 interest under the old scheme.
If my income from pensions comes to , say, £15000, then I pay normal income tax rates on anything above the £11000 personal allowance and can then also earn £1000 interest tax free under the new scheme PLUS additional tax free interest of £1000 ie the old £5000 less the difference between my income and the personal allowance (£15000 - £11000). So I can safely earn up to £2000 interest before I need worry about extra tax liability.
Or am I completely doolally in my interpretation ?ELITE 5:2

L3goland W1ndsor Update
Just updating in case anyone else goes this summer. Refill drinks are £8 each, unlimited refills all day (... days/season as still not marking the vessels to indicate date). You can apparently also get Orange or Apple juice as well as the fizzy or still drinks (selected points only). No signage anywhere but kids still go free in some restaurants after 3pm (Pizza/pasta, Burger restaurant) making it more affordable - not sure if this is tied to annual pass or available to all? Not promoted on site and well hidden on the website if there at all as I haven't seen any details.
If staying at Slough Tr4velodge (nearest/cheapest when we booked - Heathrow T 5 also an option), on steet parking bays are only chargeable 9-5, M-Sat, so you can park up overnight for free and if required then pull in to the car park opposite the hotel for a few hours (£2 for £2 hours, £3/3, £5 all day, £5 overnight).
