I really do urge everyone to read this...
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/tax-free-savings
its not a case of, 'oh i can only earn £1000 in interest before I pay tax', it all depends on how much you earn.
I've been awake since about 3.30 so everything is turning to mush in my brain. Even worse than normal
I sort of figured that you had your personal tax allowance of £11k before you paid tax and then £1k savings allowance on top making £12 but now according to this article there seems to be anther £5K as well and I have no idea why
I am a lily of the field so my only real income is my interest which so far this year stands at a magnificent £215 so in a normal year even allowing for TSB monthly savings in September and Yorkshire BS in October adding the annual interest I would not have anything to worry about and I could have just ignored the savings interest debate until HMRC had figured out how it will work in practice - but I think nationwide are going to make things difficult in December - 2 long standing accounts being closed as they amalgamate old accounts “Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

I don't really go into Sainsburys unless I see something on here tbh. My main stores are Asda and Aldi.
I'll look at the Nationwide one now
once you are set up with your credit card you just register on the Simply rewards page - one card, one email
(so if you have a nationwide flex account debit card you can register twice but you need different emails.)“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Thanks for this scamps...
Although if I may post the details around the free box it might be good for everyone to realise that in requesting the box of free spices you are also hoping to sign up and pledge to support the charity....

It is a worthwhile charity who really needs support rather than requests for the boxes without a pledge going forward....plaese keep that in mind before just ordering.
I'm just saying and not accusing ....
