I am thankful for the rain westie...although it does tend to make the wombled receipts a little to wet to retrieve.....and that was my planned activity for the afternoon!!!

although where you are I think you've had a lovely summer...a little further south and it's not been as warm or indeed sunny as we might otherwise be used to.

Because the questions regarding bank accounts and interest come up regularly, here is brief summary, of the best at present.
The figures in brackets is the max amount to put in for max interest.
x2 or x 3 is the number of accounts per person.
TSB Classic Plus 5% (£2000) monthly pay in £500 no DD's
    Santander 3% (£20000) monthly pay in £500 2 DD's
    Club LLoyds 4% (£5000) monthly pay in £1500 2 DD's
    BOS x3 3% (£5000) monthy pay in £1000 2DD's
    Tesco bank x 2 3% (£3000) no monthly pay in no DD's

If you are willing to go for 1 year deposit, Santander esaving account pays 5%
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.
