My other news today, the real reason Ive been low all day but then Manchester happened.
And then the usual daily mithers ....

My middle sister starts her three week course of radiotherapy this afternoon. Everything has been very text book, run of the mill and nothing untoward or complicated so far with scans, biopsies and surgery - slightly larger than anticipated, grade 2 but otherwise no issues.
but now she has convinced herself that nothing ever runs this smoothly and this is where things are going to go wrong and get difficult and then the scans afterwards will show she needs chemo after all ...
its going to be a very long three weeks and I am too far away to be of much practical use. The radiotherapy is being done at Shrewsbury so there is a half hour drive there and back each day.
Its going to be a long three weeks.
I went through this in 2009 and the hospital was about half hour away. But they provided transport. In my case the radio therapy really knackered me and I was very sore like sunburnt despite taking all the precautions. Don't think I could have driven there and back every day for 3 weeks. Perhaps your sister can ask if they provide transport.
    Hope all goes well :)

This is a rant so put me on Block until I finish fuming.

Well we were out of the house longer than usual - dont really like leaving Errant son to his own devices but he seemed to cope fine over the weekend.

Eventually we got back from the shops, Errant son had already set off for his temporary job this afternoon - to find Errant son had been cutting his toe nails on the living room carpet
bad enough that he choose the living room to do it in but then he also left the debris there, not bothered to clean up after himself
He is 25 and a grown up.
So you take into your home a homeless jobless person, give them a roof over their head, their own room and all meals, do their laundry, give them unlimited use of the wi fi, computer, printer and phones with included minutes, never take any board money from them and never expect them to do any chores (aside from keeping their belongings together and not spread all over the house) and this is the respect they give you and your home

Maybe he feels the need to live up to the name you have branded him with, please be thankful you still have him, toenails and all!! Sorry rant over :o

Have a few hours off from Mum's, so want to catch up with a few important jobs and then hopefully manage a couple of hours doing some work in the garden, before I go back.
Have some evouchers due to run out and can't see anything to spend them on. Not very good at buying things at full price.
Wanted an unlocked smartphone, but they all seem to be locked, and don't know the first thing about getting them unlocked.
So just might have to renew them again.
Keep doing this but getting worried I might loose them, which would be rather upsetting.

Looking at reviews I now quite fancy the Moto G Plus, unlocked from Argos at £139.95. Could use my £75.00 Sun Life (thank you op) and have 2 £10.00 Gift Cards from a complaint.
Anyone got any thoughts on this phone or any others in that price range?
Have also been looking at Samsung Galaxy J3.

I have this phone and love it http://www.argos.co.uk/product/5768244

Had Samsung S6 and after having loads trouble with it I traded it in and bought the Motorola and can say in my eyes its a better phone :)

    Don't lose your E-Vouchers

I first heard the news about Manchester at 4.30 am, having not been to sleep as usual.
Absolutely devastating for all those affected and us as a supposedly civilised society.
Can't help wondering about the Mother they were talking to, who's daughter was still missing and no contact on phone. Her friend, that she went with, had made contact with her parents, but not her.
Father, friends and relations were out checking hospitals and anywhere she might be. Showed a photo of the missing girl, but I can't remember her name.
Really feel I need to know if she is OK, but that isn't going to help those who have lost loved ones and the injured and their family's and friends who will be scared physically and mentally for life.[/QUOTE]

I'm exactly the same Sue:o I can't seem to shake off this low mood. I need to turn off the news I think:o

I'm also listening for news of the youngsters from South Shields who are missing.....their parents making their way to Manchester to find them. God, I remember how sick with fear when one of mine went missing in M& S when they were tiny......my heart goes out to those who have lost......

I've got nothing done today because I've been glued to the news :(

the tales of good outshining the utter evil have been inspiring to say the least. I'm giving blood tomorrow. That's not to say that it'll get used in Manchester but it's something I feel like I can do to help :o
