That's the hard part to explain. You bite into them like a large tomato, but the taste is very sweet. They have to be ripe to eat as I've had terrible taste from unripe ones. Soft to touch is best. I always eat them whole, just taking bites out of them, but can be cut into fruit salad etc
If they are very sweet , may spike my sugar then:o but unless i try i wont know:p

I bought curly wurlys in one of my shops today (almost time to check them) and I confess that I have just this minute eaten oneAnd I do mean this minute, that's all it took
