afternoon all - one hot afternoon and the cats are all slumped in a stupour - 25 degrees and a black fur coat do not go well together.

It also takes me a few days to adjust but 25 degrees is the most heat I can take. But I have a maxi dress on - just have to put enough sun block on now so I can venture into the garden

The Sainsbobs Tu sale was as disappointing as ever and quite a few things are going back. I dont know how long things take to be delivered to store - several things have vanished instore including the blue sandals that only came in last week

This is a rant so put me on Block until I finish fuming.

Well we were out of the house longer than usual - dont really like leaving Errant son to his own devices but he seemed to cope fine over the weekend.

Eventually we got back from the shops, Errant son had already set off for his temporary job this afternoon - to find Errant son had been cutting his toe nails on the living room carpet :mad:
bad enough that he choose the living room to do it in but then he also left the debris there, not bothered to clean up after himself :eek:
He is 25 and a grown up.
So you take into your home a homeless jobless person, give them a roof over their head, their own room and all meals, do their laundry, give them unlimited use of the wi fi, computer, printer and phones with included minutes, never take any board money from them and never expect them to do any chores (aside from keeping their belongings together and not spread all over the house) and this is the respect they give you and your home :mad:

Snap I hope your sister got on OK, I presume this appointment was not too painful, just unpleasant ?
I don't know how you cope with making the awful decisions she has got to make, it just isn't fair that this is such an awful disease and there is no easy fix.

I first heard the news about Manchester at 4.30 am, having not been to sleep as usual.
Absolutely devastating for all those affected and us as a supposedly civilised society.
Can't help wondering about the Mother they were talking to, who's daughter was still missing and no contact on phone. Her friend, that she went with, had made contact with her parents, but not her.
Father, friends and relations were out checking hospitals and anywhere she might be. Showed a photo of the missing girl, but I can't remember her name.
Really feel I need to know if she is OK, but that isn't going to help those who have lost loved ones and the injured and their family's and friends who will be scared physically and mentally for life.

How sad to hear of Roger Moore's death...He's Bond for me too....
I met him once about 25 years ago whilst I was wandering around the BBC buildings in London....he held one set of doors open for me and lo and behold Patrick Swayze held the next set open going down a corridor...

I was truly spoilt that day!

My other news today, the real reason Ive been low all day but then Manchester happened.
And then the usual daily mithers ....

My middle sister starts her three week course of radiotherapy this afternoon. Everything has been very text book, run of the mill and nothing untoward or complicated so far with scans, biopsies and surgery - slightly larger than anticipated, grade 2 but otherwise no issues.
but now she has convinced herself that nothing ever runs this smoothly and this is where things are going to go wrong and get difficult and then the scans afterwards will show she needs chemo after all ...
its going to be a very long three weeks and I am too far away to be of much practical use. The radiotherapy is being done at Shrewsbury so there is a half hour drive there and back each day.
