My other news today, the real reason Ive been low all day but then Manchester happened.
And then the usual daily mithers ....

My middle sister starts her three week course of radiotherapy this afternoon. Everything has been very text book, run of the mill and nothing untoward or complicated so far with scans, biopsies and surgery - slightly larger than anticipated, grade 2 but otherwise no issues.
but now she has convinced herself that nothing ever runs this smoothly and this is where things are going to go wrong and get difficult and then the scans afterwards will show she needs chemo after all ...
its going to be a very long three weeks and I am too far away to be of much practical use. The radiotherapy is being done at Shrewsbury so there is a half hour drive there and back each day.
Its going to be a long three weeks.

:A This is where my sister will be (fingers crossed) having her daily radio therapy too.
I hope their paths cross :A

MHOC...the sentences arn't coming out on the page as I want....and the words are getting lost....

...but the jist of it is....sometimes a phonecall either from her to you or you to her is far better received than any visit.....and in practical terms very needed and welcome too.

Neither of you can see the others tears or anxieties and sometimes its the easiest way to make sensible conversation.....we used to have an open line between siblings when Bro was going through it all.....and some of our best moments were middle of the night calls putting the world to rights.

This is a rant so put me on Block until I finish fuming.

Well we were out of the house longer than usual - dont really like leaving Errant son to his own devices but he seemed to cope fine over the weekend.

Eventually we got back from the shops, Errant son had already set off for his temporary job this afternoon - to find Errant son had been cutting his toe nails on the living room carpet
bad enough that he choose the living room to do it in but then he also left the debris there, not bothered to clean up after himself
He is 25 and a grown up.
So you take into your home a homeless jobless person, give them a roof over their head, their own room and all meals, do their laundry, give them unlimited use of the wi fi, computer, printer and phones with included minutes, never take any board money from them and never expect them to do any chores (aside from keeping their belongings together and not spread all over the house) and this is the respect they give you and your home
Your choice, some would say making a rod for your own back.

Have a few hours off from Mum's, so want to catch up with a few important jobs and then hopefully manage a couple of hours doing some work in the garden, before I go back.
Have some evouchers due to run out and can't see anything to spend them on. Not very good at buying things at full price.
Wanted an unlocked smartphone, but they all seem to be locked, and don't know the first thing about getting them unlocked.
So just might have to renew them again.
Keep doing this but getting worried I might loose them, which would be rather upsetting.

Looking at reviews I now quite fancy the Moto G Plus, unlocked from Argos at £139.95. Could use my £75.00 Sun Life (thank you op) and have 2 £10.00 Gift Cards from a complaint.
Anyone got any thoughts on this phone or any others in that price range?
Have also been looking at Samsung Galaxy J3.

    true.
We have established ground rules but you cant think of absolutely everything - we made a booklet when the lads were both living at home (eldest went in the army 7 years ago so it is quite an age now) , a sort of house management booklet to be consulted if they were ever left in charge of the house, updated numerous times, and this still lives on the fridge - the usual stuff like what to do if the electric goes off, how the washing machine works, how to manage the cats etc and the usual health and safety advice like not putting trainers in the washing machine or not sticking forks in the toaster.
Now it needs another update to include toe nails and what can and cant be done in the living room.

Once Errant son is back in paid employment and I know he has a set pay date he will start paying his loan back again and we have had the conversation about the need to start saving again - probably fallen on deaf ears

Yes I've sent a text this afternoon, words don't seem enough today - its the unknown and the uncertainty of the next three weeks that is going to be hard to deal with as radiotherapy affects everyone differently - everything that has gone before has been as perfect as it could be but the immediate future is a rocky road ...

it would be so lovely if their paths did cross, fingers crossed - I think the appointments vary from day to day which is annoying as you cant schedule your week ...
