    Hi,
was just over £9 but got other bits ,i think the JF compares £18 v £10
I think it works out about £2.80 for the 3.

I have just had a look as may go to get DD & DIL some and the Lynx wash and Body sprays look to be good.
Dont do different price items together as i think you would get the cheapest free. so if you got say 3 @ 6.00 and 3 @ 3.00 you would get the 2 @ 3.00 free. and not one @ 6.00 if that makes sence

    Good morning all...

Apologies first...my thanks button has done a runner and is nowhere to be seen ...but as always I am thankful to all posters!

I think I may have a look round A today...I have an APG to use up so nothing to lose.

Damn I missed the Mrs Banana last night....but glad she's keeping well, busy is never a bad thing but it would have been lovely to have a chat.

I've had a horrendous few days...my demons got the better of me on Wednesday and sadly poor DS took the brunt of my insecurities...yesterday we managed to put things onto a much more even keel, but I now can admit I treated him very badly and harshly over something that I chose to blow out of proportion and I'm not proud of what I did.
....But we move on,lesson learnt...at least I know that I still find some things very hard to deal with and resolving them to move forward will take me time...I was unfair.

Happy belated birthday to Dear Emerald.....hope it was a lovely day of being spoilt by everyone.

    much love to all.....

.....and HG.....I need to know everything about Japan as a holiday destination.

Hello lovely. I'll be around for a couple of days. DS probably more resilient than you think honest. Xxx

Oh mhoc....I do so feel for Errant....it can't be easy having very commendable qualifications and qualities for the jobs he's applying for only to be turned down.

It goes without saying that travelling round the country can't be easy for him with limited funds just to attend an interview where potentially the role is already earmarked for someone else.

It's a practice I believe I've seen quite a few times when OH has applied for promotions....they have their "person in mind" but in fairness they apparently need to interview a few others too....all too often the job goes to the preferred candidate.
I think sometimes some very capable people are overlooked because of an inhouse promotion or appointment.

good on Errant for staying positive and here's hoping it won't be long before he gets the break he deserves.

Yes thankfully although he does get dispirited at times its thankfully not for long and he keeps ploughing onwards - he has been to interviews now from Edinburgh to Kent and across into wales twice, only one place so far has not given him an interview and one interview he had to turn down as the job spec was not suitable. Most people rarely even get interviews so he does have enough for employers to want to actually see him even if they don't want to employ him.
As you say you do suspect what is going on, if companies are just going through the motions for the sake of things - its a pity they cant be more specific eg if they just want candidates from a 30 miles radius or just people with 10 or 15 years experience you just wish they would say it.
If there was a specific gap in his skills that he could do something about then that at least would explain things and it would be something he could do action but he ticks every box in companies "essential" list and nearly everything in the "desirables" list. And experience - well that's something you can only build on if someone will actually employ you.

He has just been paid for the temp work he did a few weeks ago, minus national insurance so at least he has some money coming in to pay for fuel and train fayres etc.
Also he finally seems to have sorted out the problems he had with the expenses sheet he did with his previous company but I don't think I would quite trust them until I see the amount actually in his account.

so at least that's a few more stressfull things off the list and basically we are waiting on emails with job interviews and phone calls again and hopefully something new to appear on the specialist job website again.

Hope she's not upside down - photobucket doesn't want to play so I've had to use tinypic.

She is looking at toys saying "instructions are in Japanese Mammy"

Just been in two medium sized Asda looking at the 3 for 2 range. The first one had small labels dotted about saying 3 for 2, not that clear though.

The second one had just 'offer' on SELs, not what the offer actually is. My friend works there and didn't have a clue there was a 3 for 2 offer on.

On Tuesday I found the seasonal aisle of a smaller Asda stocked up with the 3 for 2 offers so it was much easier to see what is actually in the offer.

I finished work last Friday, it was a temporary maternity cover but pay was good and hours fitted around schools. I'll look for something again starting in September.

My DD, who is 16, finished school on Wednesday, GCSEs start on Tuesday. I'm not sure if we will both make it through the month of exams. Like her father she is laid back to the point of horizontal. I just had a conversation with her about her revision "plan" and how she was working through it, she looked at me like I was talking a foreign language. I am trying to focus on, its my role to feed her well, make sure she sleeps, gets some exercise and makes the exams on time. I am just hoping she has the study bit under control.
