Ellie....exams...that is one thing that this year I have no worry for...but it really can be such a hard time...

any other elite parents about to embark on it too this year?

All I can say is things happen for the best and even if they don't go quite to plan there is always an alternative route that can be taken....
This time last year DS had his sights set on one of 2 uni's and didn't get to either but he's now at a uni he found via clearing doing the course he wanted and flying through the first year with a perfect score....albeit whilst I rant and rave at him for not phoning!

Thank you to everyone for their lovely thoughts and wishes and hugs...I value them all x

well more misery this afternoon. Errant son had a reply from the company in the Lakes who he sent his application to on Wednesday but he has not been short listed so no interview.

Its a place that deals specifically with children with physical and mental challenges, Errant son has some experience but probably not enough. Its a pity though, the job did look good and it was in one of his ideal locations.

This is the first time he has not been short listed for an interview, its a bit of a blow to your self esteem. At least though he has this interview on Monday which was confirmed this morning.

its one thing I am very glad I dont have to do now, my 3 all being 2 years apart from high school onwards it was like a leaden cloud hanging over us from New Year onwards - the slow and tortous run up to May to the end of year exams, mock GCSEs, GCSEs AS, A levels ....
