Evans have quite a good selection of shoes and ankle boots starting from £10 and £15 in their sale plus 8% Quidco.

The boots are all man made, nothing leather but as this winter seems to be dragging onwards £15 ankle boots might be a good stop gap.

also a few flat sandals for £15.

I always got my boots from Evans as they were wide enough for my little fat legs but all of our local shops closed - I think Liverpool is our closest and only store now.

Yes we used to have one in Wrexham not that I bought anything from there but did have a look now and again :o. Did you know you can get a cheaper version of Beecham powders with lemon 10 for £1 from shops like Savers and maybe HB s

Good morning all, cloudy one here.

Another coat of paint going on the kitchen ceiling and walls today. Problem is I have to wait for OH to finish messing about in the kitchen, and I also have to go get some milk first. It only took about 3 hours yesterday though.

Good luck with the painting. Don't your arms ache? Or did Mr E give you a massage last night? xx

I made a quick £250 from the Royal Mail when its shares were originally floated but, if I'd kept them for six months more rather than immediately cashing them in, I would have had far more.

I held for too long and they fell back down again. Impossible to judge timing perfectly.

Spent the day out with a friend in Harpenden yesterday. Lovely little town to wonder through, if anyone is in Hertforshire.

    Morning.

Ending today, Schwartz (85p each) and Colmans (80p each) packet sauce mixes, 2 for £1.00

    http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/asda/bundle/661171_2131344.html

Tesco have 2 for £1.00 offer (until 9th May) on most of the Colmans range (not the blue packs ie cheese sauce, etc) and

Sainsbobs 50p each (on offer to 16 May) on most of the range, including the blue packs.

Could do shops without fillers, depending on how many you want to buy.

Colmans 30p for 2 after APG.

Most of the Schwartz 'should' compare to ... :( Morries 4 for £2.00 offer.

Tesco Schwartz 2 for £1.00 offers, according to mysupermarket.

Schwartz 20p for 2 after APG.

Check who sells what to avoid N/A and offer comes off at till/price they scan through at in case prices drop later - don't rely on SEL.

    Thank you izzey:A

So wish I had time to look through these:o

Some of the slowpot mixes are quite nice and some compare to M:T

Mhoc.....are they worth getting for some stew mixes for hungry son?

I've had a card from Boden advertising an auction of their women's clothes to be held in Newcastle. Looks genuine.

Anyone been to one of these events? Is it worth it?

canned rice pud is a really good idea - Errant son eats it with a can of tinned peaches as a snack. I think I need to be bulk buying this.
I got quite a few of the tropical canned fruit in cans from Marks when they were cheap but he hasn't tried these yet
Earlier in the week he was eating soup and canned rice for lunch - strange combination.

I am contemplating some sort of casserole which I can get ready before Oh comes home so there is no discussion about it. I can fill a bowl incase Errant son gets back or whatever time he does get back. But I only have pork ...

Pork will be fine mhoc. Have you got Ant peppers? For colour and an extra veggie.

A trick my dad told me years ago. I think his mother used to do this ............. add a small handful of porridge oats to stews, it bulks them out, makes it go further and more filling.

Porridge oats added to mince also makes it go further and more filling.

    hth

    Good luck :)
