Sorry to hear that Sarah, I know about a lot of birds but nothing at all about lovebirds, how long can they live for? I suppose once they've paired up it is for life too so the partner must be heart brokenxx
My neighbour who breeds them said they can live for 20 years, poor thing was just lying on its back, heart going really fast then looked like it was fitting.
The other one seems ok at the minute, not sure what to do with the other one now, if we should get a friend or a mirror so it thinks it has a friend0 -
Do T Express have the toilet rolls and on offer? Wondering if they may be a better vet as their stock rotation may be lower.

At the moment we've taken in DS4 washing as he and DGF can't afford a washing machine. I don't mind and like you, I'd rather do it and be in control

Update on removing deodorant stains from work shirts - after various trials with white vinegar, washing powders, Vanish etc and getting nowhere, we finally hit on the solution - baking powder
. Mixed into a paste with water, applied liberally to the armpit area then left for a while, followed by a normal wash and they came up like new . These favourite shirts were going in the bin if it didn't work, as they were coloured shirts and ruined - now revived

Hope eldest son put the washing in the machine himself as an extra reminder to the errant one of how it is done, and that it is not just a mam's job.
Oh yes,Eldest son is proficient in washing machine usage
Yes, yesterday I just made sure Eldest son had laundry liquid and fab conditioner and told him how much to use and he just got with it. Small hiccup over the dryer but otherwise not an issue at all.
As you say, no drama - he just got on with it. He also asked in advance before they arrived - was it Ok to stay over, what was for dinner, was there enough to go around and if it was Ok to use the washer and dryer - he always rings and asks if we are in, never just assumes or takes things for granted before he heads in this direction.
The politeness is very refreshing - its not forced, its just the way he behaves normally.
And in direct contrast to Errant son
And yes Errant sons bedding was still loitering in the machine and he had to be told to remove it and hang it out.
They were both brought up the same and taught basic domestic skills“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
