I think we only had one day when it didn't rain last week so it's going to take 2 days of med type sun to dry the ground enough to work on.

I am taking oh out this morning to get woodchip bark for the bottom paddock. He thinks it is going to completely solve the weed problem. It won't. Oh thinks that putting a thick layer down will magically solve the problem. I've tried saying you need to weed first as they will still come through but it falls on deaf ears.
so I've taken photos this morning and we await the magic transformation :rotfl:

Now this is seriously taking a short cut, but I solved my weed problem in my flower beds with bushes (lavender, fuchsia, hydrangea) by covering all the weeds with a few layers of newspaper (about 7 layers) and then covering the layers with woodchip bark. I didn't pull the weeds out first. This kept the weeds under control for about a year until the newspaper rotted away.

Wacky, do you know if anyone has tried any of the other triggers? Cant find them in my store but can try when i go further afield

Not as far as I know.
A couple I posted a week or so ago were but none of this weeks.
I think this type of trigger only lasts a week so the ones that were tested I don't think will work now.

Unfortunately the powerline adaptors are not necessarily great for the sky boxes.

Have you turned off the wireless on the sky boxes? They are not intelligent enough to know to switch from wireless to wired.

The other option - can you move the router to a closer socket? They do not have to be in the "main" socket.

Thanks E....just picked this up after a very long family phone call.

Daft question....how do we turn off the wireless on the Sky boxes?

The router works in a socket closer to the Sky box but then reduces the extent of the signal ie it doesn't even reach upstairs when the old one used to

Not sure but it should be in the settings, might be best to look it up - there is a few different boxes TM. You will find it on the net.

Another thought, you could use the powerline to plug an Access Point in. You could do this anywhere in the house assuming the whole house is on the same power circuit. Access point is just an extension to your router.
