E are you around to give some advice?

    Internet problems:mad:

We have a fair distance from the sky router to the far end of the house and have always used a booster. For some reason it failed the other week.

We then purchased a Sky wireless booster but unfortunately it only improves the signal marginally.

We have now bought a Trendnet 500Mbps compact power line AV adapted kit to allow us to connect via the electrics throughout the house. We read up on it and it should be compatible with the sky router.

So we have connected both sky boxes via Ethernet cables to the mains but it hasn't made a blind bit of difference to the signal.

    Any ideas?

Cut off those seed heads TM or you will be finding them next year too.

Hi TM, if you cut of the flowers before they get a chance to seed then there is no seed to spread:)

You are both absolutely right ladies.........it's unfair to blame the chives when it's my fault. I have to admit with the poor Spring weather we have had, I lost my mojo for a while and certainly wasn't as proactive with weeding as I should have been. I have a massive area to maintain and if you snooze you lose.
However with the recent sunshine I feel loads better and I'm starting to get excited about it all again......I've even been talking about a polytunnel:)

I've done a mountain of work today and you can tell:T

    I'm nearly chive less:)

Unfortunately the powerline adaptors are not necessarily great for the sky boxes.

Have you turned off the wireless on the sky boxes? They are not intelligent enough to know to switch from wireless to wired.

The other option - can you move the router to a closer socket? They do not have to be in the "main" socket.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
