Anyone that feels they are having problems cutting down on drink, my OH use to drink a lot. He had to see a liver specialist as his liver results were coming back iffy. They put him on a high dose of vitamin B12 and B1. It did the trick. He has been tee total about 4 years now and his liver is ok. I never thought I would see the day he would give up drink. My mum used to like her wine too much too. I told her GP about this vitamin trick and she pooh poohed it and said she didnt believe it was that easy. I got some B1 and B12 from Amazon and yes it did the trick and she doesnt crave wine now. Still has the occasional glass but nothing like what she was consuming before. The liver specialist told me and OH that people that drink too much, the alcohol robs there body of B12 and B1 and this is what tells your brain you need alcohol. Also some people who drink too much dont eat properly.
Anyway, worth a try if anyone is having problems with alcohol.
    hth :)

MY OH is hardly drinking now because of his medication. We had 4 beers between the 2 of us on Saturday but that's was about it for the week. If he opens a bottle of wine now he only has half a glass and then I put the bottle in the fridge and just have a glass each night for 3 nights to finish it off.
I do miss having the odd glass but I don't think it is really right for me to drink if he isn't plus I know someone elses wine breath is urghhh :)
Its interesting about the vitamins - I don't think I get cravings, I just miss the Full Stop at the end of the week :)

  • Boots apple shampoo made very acceptable shower gel this morning, and I used a much smaller blob than my usual, so that's a win.

Have also used it to hand-wash some delicates, they needed more of a rinse than normal but otherwise fine.

Will try out some other uses later.

I also bought the Mint & TeaTree to try as hand wash once the current one finishes, and might try that on the kitchen floor as well.

Still trying to chase up my edam refund. Twittered them, no one seems to have posted on their page since end of December 2016. Emailed numerous times, no reply. Talking to someone (FrieslandCampina) via fb but its like going round in circles. One day it might happen

These 2 offers should be available to everyone:

500 points available on East coast routes

500 points available on West coast routes

They're on the website rather than on the app. I bought Haymarket to Waverley both times but made sure that it was an east/west coast onward service as appropriate

Thank you. I shall ensure that I look at the website too in future.

I'm not sure how easily these ones can be found on the website. I found them via the nectar facebook page which is proving to be worth following
