  • Hello

I popped into M&S in Stratford Westfield today and made the fatal mistake of walking down the baking aisle. They had some cupcake boxes reduced from £2.75 to 50p (blue, 2 pack with inserts, holds 2 in each box). I didn't clear them out, but I did buy 20 packs :o Although out of stock, they had labels for reduced piping bags and cookie bags too.

    Hope it helps someone!

    Using up the golden syrup.:)

It's times like this when I wish I had one of those little blow torches to add a bit of colour.

Lovely syrupy crispy bits of sponge and juicy pineapple served with 10p cream:)

  • The fresh meat I bought from Iceland has worked out very well.

Half a small chicken (halved whilst raw, one half has been frozen) - has made me two roast dinners and a mini-meal

Lean minced beef - made myself 3 bolognese dinners and have frozen one of those.

Extra thick bacon also very nice, perhaps a bit saltier than my usual.

I'll definitely be going again. It's a shop I've mostly ignored until now, but it will suit my new budget very well, I think.
