    morning all.

we are giving blood this week, well I am anyway so today I have to stop coughing and spluttering.

I noticed on twitter that someone got a text/message or something from blood.org which told the. where their donation had gone to - donated in warwick and used at Southampton general.
Does anyone know how you can have this alert put on?
I am assuming I am registered on their website but possibly not as I tend to ring for appointments, have to check this now, possibly something on the website but Ive never seen it.

A really wicked thought has entered my head. I have been crisp free since the start of the year apart from 2 free Kettles crisps from Crosscountry and a shared big bag with OH after the weekend away. After you have donated you go to the refreshment station for tea and biscuits but ours also has Seabrooks crisps :j
which I could quite legitimately eat and more than one :)

Last time I gave blood I got a text saying it had gone to Colchester :) I think it's automatic - I get texts to remind me, to say thank you for donating and to tell me where it's headed for

    Thanks I will!
For some reason I'm always cautious about swapping home insurance, but I paid nearly 300 last year so I think I must do something to reduce it this time.
It's all about being organised which you clearly are. :T

I know sometimes it is a pain in the bottom to take the time to do these things but the savings are there to be had...Its not pennies but hundreds of pounds.....accumulate that over many years and it will run into the 1000s of pounds....I have always been frugal.....:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:..

I also got home emergency cover and legal expenses and ID theft on top of the house insurance/contents insurance...:D

hi all, back from the football, my poor feet are like ice cubes!!

Quick Q - I am going to change my BB and Phone line from Sky to BT, I've found a plan suitable and will save me £15 a month and moneyback on Q. Can I keep my landline no.? I rang sky to see if I could get any sort of offer and the woman was rude and unhelpful and it was a big fat no lol, told me offers were for tv customers only. Might be worth the change as I have a really old internet which at best is between 4-6 mbps or whatever the letters are
