And in case you didn't know...Thanks to Wiki
The ottoman traces its roots from furnishing practices in the Ottoman Empire, where it was the central piece of residential seating generally designed as a low wooden platform intended to be piled with cushions. The ottoman was first designed as sectional furniture that wrapped around three walls of a room, before evolving into smaller versions that fit into the corner of a room or circular padded seats surrounding a column or pole in a public room.
The ottoman was eventually brought to Europe from the Ottoman Empire in the late 18th century, when it was coined after its place of origin. The earliest known instance of the use of the name is ottomane in French in 1729, while the first known recorded use in English occurs in one of Thomas Jefferson's memorandum books from 1789: "P[ai]d. for an Ottomane of velours d'Utrecht." Over time, European ottomans took on a circular or octagonal shape through the 19th century, with seating divided in the center by arms or by a central, padded column that might hold a plant or statue. As clubs became more popular, so did the ottoman, which began to have hinged seats underneath to hold storage.[STRIKE]68 [STRIKE]Mouses[/STRIKE] [/STRIKE]

They're supposed to draw in the moisture in the room and put back out negative ions, leaving you cleaner air to breathe in and apparently a few other health benefits that I'm a bit sceptical of
But if nothing else, they look prettyI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. While I was checking on my app I happened to flick to my loaded offers. Both mine and DH collect points on each of your next 10 swipes at Sainsbobs were both full, showing green and ticked on Friday when I last checked. Our accounts are both showing amber, DH now needs 4 more shops to complete and I need 7 . What's happened, has anyone else had this happened please? We both swiped many times each last weekend.
Mine was all green before i had done the qualifying number of shops. I think it was picking up point additions at CS as being a swipe
Maybe they have corrected it to only pick up purchases. My count hasn't dropped because I went on to do more qualifying spends so i can't confirm if that's itApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

But if nothing else, they look pretty
Sis bought me one of these salt lamps for my birthday last year.
They need to be left on apparently
I didn't realise and turned it on and off like a normal lamp.
It absorbed loads of moisture, got soaking wet and blew a fuse.
Took me a while to sort it, buying a new bulb.
If you turn them off for a long period then you are supposed to wrap them in cling film.
Hth.
