I feel like complaining. I ve been trying to open a current account online with the 3% with Tesco . Won't let me . Says I already have two . I have an internet saver and a instant access one. Wasted over £5 on the phone trying to get through listening to music and some woman saying very sorry etc , we want our custom huh. Gave up in the end . Why don't they have an email address where we could email our queries instead of wasting money on phones.

Does anyone know of a freephone number by any strange chance or suggest who I can complain to please. The way I'm going I ll be using the interest I eventually gain on flaming phone calls.

I still have my slide rule :D

I got up to necksies, but then at that time I was quite a bit taller than the others, I was even a goal attack in netball, only average height now though.

....and French skipping with long lengths of elastic....
Our neighbour ran a little shop, wool and paint (?) mainly. I remeber one Sunday being there with mam and 3 'kids' came to their back dooor saying they needed to buy elastic when asked why it was so urgent they said "'cos their mam needed to mend her knickers"

It was either for french skipping, or a catapult I think!

Oh yes I had a school bag , cookery basket with a plastic floral cover and sports kit in another bag and we d have to walk to other schools to play netball,it's a wonder we wouldn't be knackered by the time we got there. I was goal keeper as I was tall at 5 ft 7 , wouldn t be tall nowadays . Funnily enough Darren married the niece of my PE teacher years later. Small world eh.
