Makes me smile when I see people are getting low on deodrant.
9 years ago when I was diagnosed with breast ca and was about to undergo radiotherapy, I was told I cannot use "normal" deodrant but can use a crystal deodrant, which is basically rock salt. I bought one off ebay and it arrived with a broken cap so emailed the seller and they sent me another one. I carried on using the one with the broken cap as the actual crystal salt bit was ok. Carried on using it after treatment finished as it was doing the job of keeping odour at bay ok. Only just started using the 2nd one as it lasted so well. I use it night an morning and it works so well. :)

For OH I’ve been doing magical mystery tours now for a few years as his birthday present. I scour groupon and living social and put together a mid week escape. He usually gets a “save the day” card and when we actually do them he just gets sets of postcodes to input into the sat nav.
One year we stayed at Cedar Court in Huddersfield– 2 nights, breakfasts and dinner and we went to the Holmfirth vineyard for a tour, sampling and afternoon tea.
Another year it was 2 nights at a pub at the top of the kirkstone pass with dinner and trips out to Kendal and Sizeburgh castle.
Last year eldest son got his Dad and me a days photography course in Bakewell (including pie and gravy lunch) and when I went to book they had spaces on the course for the following Monday. I booked Hilton double tree outside Sheffield for the Sunday night (using my Hilton points). We drove across the peak district – forgot what a long way it was and the Sunday traffic was hideous even in March. En route we went to Hardwick, stayed at Hilton overnight, had breakfast in Bakewell and did the photography course which was really informative.
So OHs birthday will probably be along similar lines this year if I can come up with some inspiration and persuade OH to have a couple of days off work which seems to be getting harder and harder…

Well that was an interesting phone call...from the Talk Talk technical centre...apparently my router has been sending them signals ....blah,blah,blah....

...it further transpires that the caller thinks I am a ******* ***** because I won't enter into the game and allow him to fix my computer....
so I name and shame the number they dialled from...

Morning all, ordered 4 of those bird feeders Snap showed us yesterday, 2 daffodil & 2 poppy. I don't drive so having them delivered is a bonus for me, even though they may have been cheaper elsewhere.
So thats 4 Christmas presents sorted.............. bet they will be the very devil to wrap! xx

    :T:T Yes they are lovely.
It was awkward carrying it around town in my shopping bag with the 2 metal prongs sticking out like a devils fork :o:o Extra care was needed squeezing down the packed bus to a seat - I could of had a couple of eye balls skewered to my prongs :o:o:rotfl:

Snap...I have to say I thought that the daffodils were lovely too...they were always my mums favourite flowers and I'm just a little sad that perhaps she's no longer around for us to buy her a few of these to go in the garden outside her room.
For the last year of her life she lived in a nursing home but had lovely patio doors from her room to a small paved area with pots and a couple of chairs...she was a heavy smoker and it meant that she could still indulge in her beloved pastime without flouting too many rules.
Why do I think she would have loved the flowers...yes because they were daffodils, but they would have made a damn good ashtray too...

its almost 4 years to the day that she passed away and its strange how even now I still look at things and almost buy them in some cases because they would be useful to her.....so I look at the marie curie daffodils and I know that it's a cancer charity and all that but it raised a smile this morning when I though just how much my mum would have loved them and made what she considered such a good use of them!...albeit inappropriately.
