I've just sold some books through WeBuyBooks. They have a new app so you can scan the barcode and today are offering an extra 15% I've used them in the past and had no problems :)

can I be inquisitive and ask how much you typically get back for them....
I go through books like water and tend to pick up the ones at the supermarket that are 2 for £7 so nothing high brow, but once I've read them I dont have an attachment to them and try to pass them on to the charity shops...but the last time I did this they were a little selective saying they had too much "chic lit"......umm so home I came with my bag of books...

just wondering if selling them might be an option.

I did try a kindle a few years back before you all tell me to use one of those...but theres nothing like the feel of a page,so I wasnt converted....
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

You don't get vast amounts back but TBH I'm only selling old books that I probably bought for next to nothing at school fayres, Xmas bazaars. Nowadays I only read library books so not sure what newer books would go for. I used to give them to our church Xmas bazaar but they've decided they're too much trouble  which actually annoyed me.

Just try scanning a few and see :)

Our hospital takes books to sell too

    I've just done a survey....
only one question to it and according to the accompanying email it was urgent as the survey will close at 5pm....

Lets throw this one open to see how we would each answer it....
and I appreciate there will be those that say "neither,I prefer brown"

    but

:rotfl::rotfl:but if you ask my sister in law,she will say definitely the fridge, :rotfl::rotfl: we have had a great big argument over a bottle of sauce, and they have not spoken to us since :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:rotfl: whose signature used to say..... if you lend someone a tenner and you never see them again its probably the best tenner you've ever spent? In your case even less, a bottle of sauce :rotfl:

Waiting for my train home but just got my mark back for general portfolio. Got a First! I strongly suspect that I've got the highest mark in the class because I know the marks of 3 others, 2 of them possibly the strongest in the class.

    1 down 4 to go!

Should add that this was potential downfall as it was a range of genres and I only consider myself a landscape photographer.
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

I'm sorry, it might just be me but I think you have to ask yourself if some things are a step too far

Not just you, I thought it too :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My reducing the toiletry stash is going as planned. Since we started, I forget theatre now doh, I've used a sachet of Garnier and a blob of eye cream. Bed time I've used. Blob of eye cream and scooped out some Body Shop night cream. It's my normal routine, only difference is I'm not buying anymore, I've got some pots of face cream that I'll move onto after the sachets.

Make-up, I won't need to buy any either :j. All systems go.

Oh, I've just clicked on SoPost for a sample of eye cream, only one :rotfl:

Is anyone on streetlife please and have you had the email today regarding the move to Nextdoor?

It looks like one website has swallowed up the other :(

I registered this afternoon with nextdoor and I got a banner at the top which says
Welcome to the Nextdoor xxxx pilot website.
The pilot will expire in 11 days unless 6 more verified members join.

Apparently there are 805 households around here - not sure how they come to that conclusion as mainly its 2 roads plus our lane . The parish border is actually across the railway line and cuts through a housing estate on the other side but really the housing estate is closer to the town than the village.

On streetlife on the right hand side it says I've got about 1100 neighbours - covering 2 towns and various villages inbetween but we are going to loose access to Streetlife in 2 weeks
by which time we wont have Nextdoor either.

I tried moving my address to the co op in the village but apparently it does not have a local website at all as no one in the village is on Streetlife or Nextdoor

I don't know if its me being dim but I cant see a way to expand the boundaries on Nextdoor
