He's 17 now? Time to stand on his own two feet and take responsibility for his actions.

When I was a kid (:o) my parents refused to buy me expensive stuff, if I wanted it then they would put the cost of what they were willing pay and I had to find to rest whether it be pocket money or birthday money. Taught me two lessons: to look after my possessions and the value of stuff. This happened from age 10 onwards and stood me in good stead. I want a new camera :D:D, took me 3 weeks to make my mind up, and for the last 5 weeks been watching prices. I'm very patient and prepared to wait for the right deal :)

Good morning all, looks very cold out there.

Hugs to all of the poorly ones and the ones suffering this morning, we seem to have more than our fair share on the group ...

OH was snoring and thrashing around like a beached whale last night so it must have been about 1.30 or 2 before I managed to get to sleep and then I was wide awake at 5 so I will be like the walking dead today. I suspect OH has given me his man-cold as well having sneezed in all directions yesterday :(

In the meantime very oddly the calendar is completely blank this week so I've composed a very long and convoluted To Do this for this week, not a lot else you can do at 5 in the morning, so I am going to put myself in purdah and go off line while I tackle it ....

You wont want me around anyway if I have got OHs man-cold

The other night I squeezed one of the Super Yummies into a bowl and ate it like a yogurt. The strawberry, kiwi and banana was really nice, the other one (was it apple and forest fruits? not so, but OK) :rotfl:

    Morning Everyone :)

    Good morning Elite :hello:

Damp and foggy here so an NSD for me. It's a rest day as will be tomorrow, must slow the pace down just a smidgeon :D

Don't know if it's just me but cereal with baby milk just seems wrong to me  I know, it's each to their own but if I were to try it I'm sure my lot would think I was losing the plot :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Into week 3 so hope my other 6 blood test results are back this week, I'm getting impatient waiting :o

Hugs to my poorly Elite members, and those feeling low, you're all in my thoughts xx

I could though do with some ideas and thoughts about birthday presents, any ideas anyone has will be most welcome :D

I've got to come up with four in the next 4 weeks - yes all in the weeks prior to the wedding. Yes I should have saved some ideas from Christmas but I had hardly enough ideas at Christmas. There is no budget in theory, it just has to be something interesting, unusual, quirky, something that they would not buy themselves ....
We rather over did the alcohol themed presents at Christmas especially the gin and whisky flavoured ones.

Errant son - outdoors type, something not too bulky as I will probably have to post it down if I can figure out where he is living

Eldest childs BF - has a big 30 birthday, very sophisticated tastes

Eldest sons GF - no idea but again it will probably have to be something lightweight that I can post

OH - has his 60  - OMG, so much older than me :rotfl:

That's why I decanted my Super Yummy - DH and DDs would have had a field day otherwise! :rotfl::rotfl:

Debating whether to try the baby milk

Sorry I have the same problems as you mhoc regarding presents, not needed this month but my lot are difficult to buy for, I have to have my thinking cap on all year round for them  I was thinking of taking a leaf out of your book mhoc anyway and buy some of them a night or two away as Christmas presents, that leaves Birthdays :D
