Well underperky and LEJC I am rather proud of him and he could write a book about all his experiences. Of course I was a trapeze artist too Susie and the flying mercurys lol.... ( no I wasn t ).
I first met him when I was 16 . Can t remember exactly what happened but he was noticed when he was doing the duke of Edinburgh gold award and some circus scout noticed him and asked him to joint the circus.
Where do I start. He travelled the world for years and followed the sun . He was with Fossetts circus and Ringling brothers in America. He was earning loads of money at the time but he was one of these who spent it all too lol, so when we did get together years later it had all gone
Like I said his main occupation there was as a trapeze artist , he was one of the ones who threw themselves across from one place to another and a bigger stronger guy was the catcher. Imagine the pull on his arms etc, that's why he s riddled with arthritis now. You do t realise at the time though do you ?
He s wing walked on planes,
Dived into a small pool of water from a great height set on fire ( the nutter )
Walked a tightrope from one sky scraper to another in America.
Walked from England to Wales on his hands for charity.
Been a clown ... he s good at that
Been in adverts on the tv,
Was Patrick McGoohans stunt man when he was filming that series in Portmeirion.
Was a gymnastic champion eg pommel horse and those things you grasp on and swing round and round etc.
Trampoline.
Good swimmer and diver and swam the channel a couple of times.
Met loads of stars over the years, Anthony Valentine, Ken Dodd, Norman Wisdom, been to parties at their houses. Too numerous to mention them all. Don't think there are many he hasn t met to be honest.
Big pals with Wayne Sleep from when he was being accosted for being gay . Wayne Sleep not hubby. He stepped in and got rid of them.
This all came to an end when one time he was trapezing and slipped and crashed into the king pole instead of the net, knocked himself out flown back from America and woke up in Gobowen Hospital having to learn to walk againwhich he did.
If there s anything else I remember I ll put it down lol.
I met up with him some years after and we carried on where we left off and he took my two lads on and 7 years later we had Dawn and she is his greatest achievement he reckons
.
Wow what an exciting life he has had, you must get told lots of intersting stories, thanks for sharing, if you had been with him when younger I bet you would have made a very glamerous assistant0 -

I'm hoping the cycle path to ours is open by then, but I don't think it will be, I think it is a week or two out.
No idea what I would buy though, already have a spare kettle and two spare toasters lol
Oh, and I managed one solitary popping candy freddo todayWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
