I'm full of woe & angst.

Beaten up friend (cashpoint) is critical in hospital high dependency ward.
The more I hear of his attack, the more ghastly it was.
Beaten, thrown around & stamped on street, his hair pulled out by roots. He is 62 - and wasn't well to start with.

OMG snap, this is awful, wishing him a speedy recovery.

Sorry to hear about your cat aswell.

Mystery champers have arrived from twine.

Whist I didnt get the variety of DM's 2 cases,I got very good value.

    12 bottles

    4 x Piper Heidsieck £120
    2 x GH Mumm £67
    1 x Nicholas Fauillatte £17
    1 x Invilla Prosecco £7.50
    1 x Canti Prosecco £8.99

    2 x Bartenura Prosecco
    1 x Tenuta Ca'Bolani Prosecco

so my estimate is around £220 plus 3 bottles I can't price

I'm starting to wonder if after christmas is the time to buy the mystery cases for the best deals...now I'm off to put them away in the rack.

    What:T:T:T:T
Another brilliant case. I am beyond tempted now. My only fear is that I should have ordered sooner and I might have missed the better cases.

Having said that I don't even know if they are still available.

Just doing a calculation for my Frugal January and unsure whether to add in my cashback items. I've had the money back so I suppose I can keep them out of the equation......which I will:)

I have about £28 left out of a £50 target. I think I should do it easily......unless I overspend in the Boots sale:o

Milk appears to be our down fall:o

I have managed lots of whoopsied Yeo Valley skimmed for
10p a litre but without that it would be £1 a day spend.

    Maybe I need a cow:rotfl:

Emerald...thank you for sharing the trapeze details....what a fantastic experience it must have been.
Many stories to tell, and so many people and places.
It must have been very hard after his accident to leave all that behind...does he miss it,or was it coming to a natural end?

Would you have liked to have been part of it all when he was travelling or was it better that you did re acquaint after everything had finished?

Sorry for all the questions...but its such an interesting story....and feel free to ignore me if you'd rather not answer my ramblings!

Not at all LEJC like I say I'm proud of him and all he s achieved over the years . He did go back to the circus eventually as a clown but as you can imagine not the same what's the word kudos. Anyone can be a clown I suppose but not anyone can be a trapeze artist.

It was probably coming to a natural end by then just like footballers really they can't go on forever can they ? He said to me that he thought he was invincible ( sadly not ) and maybe he was a bit careless,I don't know.

He s amazed he s still alive after all the stunts etc. He also did the wall of death on a motorbike and used to ride a big police bike along the bends where you bank to the side and almost
    Flat on the road.

To be honest I don't think I would have liked that life I'd have been a nervous wreck lol but would have enjoyed some of it no doubt. He even used to chauffeur the Duke of Grosvenor around. He was good at fighting if the need arose. His dad taught the army lads unarmed combat and he taught him too. Sadly he died at age 53 I think one Boxing Day with a chest infection but that's another story.

Remember the film with Patrick Swayze ( the title escapes me just now) where he was a bouncer in a night club well hubby was just like him ,and his brother owned a nightclub here at the time. He even knows how to kill someone with two fingers

If I can remember anything else I ll post it :)
