Patersons Shortbread

Del Monte baby food - only sold by Asda
Patersons Shortbread against Morries 2 for £1.50? Both Shortbread Fingers And Clotted Cream.
EDIT: I see msm has £1 straight for M on Patersons:(. However, I'm 'sure' I had 2 for £1.50 around even yesterday.
EDIT 2: I'm going to chance them in case majority of their stores early New Year hadn't changed their SELs and were still showing 2 for £1.50 (or in case the APG didn't do a collection with it being like a Bank Holiday and is still on last week). Unfortunately I will be out on the road and unable to get back to post any result:wall:. Personally I doubt it will work (that may be a good sign?).0 -
An update to last years spread sheets where I record the value of free items and vouchers received(found apg's and odd bits and bobs, TMF etc) .....total for the year 2016.... £2356.75....I was aiming for £200 per month so just slightly under that so will now zero back for this year and start again.
Have to say I continue to be surprised how the value of it all soon mounts up.
Also had a heads up PM overnight about T white mysteries(thank you kind wine angel xx)....they are still in stock this morning so just wondering should I give it a go or pass till the next lot when we will be out of wine....frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

some woman saying they were calling everyone in our area (obviously not) and contacting all home owners under the age of 86 (obviously if you are really ancient or in rented property its not relevant) and then something about being able to access the emergencies services even when you were not in the property (I thought that was what mobiles were for)
I thought this was a particularly nasty one as the words "government scheme" "emergency services, fire, ambulance and police" were mentioned ....
I always stop them in their tracks by saying I am in a rented house“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Funnily enough that is what I say, seems to stop a lot of these calls. OH had fun with a "windows" one today, was apparently calling from Windows but was not linked to Microsoft in any way :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I have been rather hoping I would get a call, would quiz him on what window company he was calling from .........What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

I tried to return a costa coffee set (glasses and cups and some coffee and syrup) to Debenhams with a gift receipt. They refused saying it was food and couldn't be refunded. But most of the gift isn't food and the donor clearly meant for it to be returned as they enclosed the gift receipt. The girl said there was a sign up saying food can't be taken back and the till will issue a gift receipt for anything requested.
Any ideas? £31.50 value, that could be better spent.
is it damaged0 -

As has been mentioned previously TSB drops their interest rate from 5% to 3% today and only up to £1500 from £2000.
if any one has a empty Nationwide account like me, (I used it for a year for the 5% rate but then they dropped their rates to 1%) it may be worth transferring your excess £500 from TSB to NW.
I've done this with both my TSB accounts this morning until I can set up another decent paying account...just an idea rather than have zero interest in the interim"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin
