Late night check in for me. I drove back from Tyneside this afternoon. Thick frost and fog there this morning and fog on way home, but not enough to affect (?) road conditions, though there was a lot of traffic

Got home at 7 pm, rushed to the loo for a wee (TMI?) then closed front blinds and put lights on. Turned round too quickly and my left foot skidded under me, so I ended up crashing onto the floor on both my knees - crash - ouch :o Tried AJ's tip of getting up backwards onto stool and then sofa but couldn't push myself up more than a few inches as arms so weak. Edged myself across floor towards window and got myself onto fluffy dog bed where I had no choice but to kneel (double ouch) and haul myself up using armchair. Cue two badly bruised and very sore knees and a very sore edge of foot that slid. Oh well, the bruise from my last fall was just about gone from my right knee so it is now replaced with a worse on, and I now have matching bruise on left knee :(

When I got home, I was so relaxed after spending time with my Big Sis and seeing my niece and her two girls who are growing up now, and I felt so happy. I guess I just forgot to watch what I am doing and take my time. So back down to earth, and reality, with a bump

I took painkillers after it happened but only now just considering going to bed as pain is easing - hope I can get some sleep

Night Night all, with special hugs to those that need them :grouphug:

How are you today? A right nasty bump there by the sound of things. I've got a pair of bruises on my right knee, the one that was replaced, we take things carefully and alert, and all it takes is one second and bang, down we go. Knowing you, will will have plans for New Year, so if you can just take it easy for a day or two to get your wind and strength back ((hugs)) xx
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

    Afternoon peeps. :)

    I'm 63% Tight. LOL

My wife and I used to hang out with a couple when our kids were young and nearly every time we went to a pub, the bloke would disappear to the toilet leaving me to get drinks for everyone including the kids. When it came to his round, the kids didn't need one!! I would get the next round in, again, for the kids. Then this couple would make an excuse to leave. My wife and I put up with this for about 4 years until we got fed up with them!

Also, we would go on holiday, usually Woolacombe, and after a day or two, they would turn up and stay for at least a couple of days! It's not as though they didn't have any money, they had more than us!

If they took the test they'd probably score 100% :rotfl:

You were generous, I would have gone mad.

Years ago we returned to live in the village that I was raised in, at the same time my best friend also returned and lives nearly opposite me. She had the wonderful suggestion of her OH helping my OH, and visa versa do the houses up. But every time it was organised that her OH would do some labouring, she would have an emergency so he could not help. He must have done 3 half days all together, whilst OH converted her loft, move the bathroom upstairs, knocked the kitchen through/plastered/new kitchen, new bathroom, remodelling the bedrooms. One day she walked around the corner to see her OH in our garden working, she screamed at him that he needed to be at home doing her house. I have never spoken to her since... selfish c*w. Her OH is lovely but very down trodden. This year he asked my OH if he would fit him a new kitchen, and the daft s*d was going to do it until I raised my issues. Another friend agreed to do it for them, but is charging a fortune and is taking months..... it still is not done. If only she had not been so selfish, she would have had it done in a week for free and would not have lost a good friend!

This morning we had a little panic about the dog, there was drops of blood on the floor.... then we realised that it not her operation yesterday but she is menstruating.... poor thing she has been lethargic all day. I think I would be the same!
