I know Wednesday is usually hump day here but we are on the brink of the big winter hump:rotfl:

I always think of streetlights and others who don't like the short days and so pleased there's literally light at the end of the tunnel:)

Good morning all, cloudy out there. I really have to get on with some cleaning today. Had a message from DD yesterday, they are going to come a day earlier than had been arranged so have to move the schedule up. Her old room (and the other spare room) is a storage room, a lot of it is theirs but a lot of it is our too, think I am going to put it all in the other spare room and close the door

    Morning all!

Mega busy and stressful day ahead if I'm not careful. Been up since 5am as I woke up and realised fairly quickly there was no chance of getting back to sleep! Enjoying Christmas music and talk about Christmas tv specials on radio 2 instead :)

Stashing in another room and closing the door is normally our technique too, but we've got parents and brother coming so unfortunately that's both spare rooms taken, meaning the attic and our room are the only other options as the garage is full already

I suspect there will be a good few tip runs between now and Saturday :rotfl:

Just checking Aldi's opening times (will be going soon), and well done Aldi, for keeping closed on Boxing Day.

At the moment, my t superstore is also closed on BD. The other supermarkets are open. Same thing happened last year and on Dec 23rd. there were big posters announcing that 'due to public demand' they would be opening on BD. Truth be told, t realised others would open and didn't want to lose out.:eek:

Some little co-ops were open Xmas Day the year before last - the convenience-store sized ones, don't know about this year. My McColls is open 9-3.

And thousands of health sector and public service workers will be working through Xmas Day, including me. :)
