Steal away anything you think is suitable....
What's everyone else putting in christmas stockings/bags/boxes for their older kids if do them?
I'm all too aware that we are not a conventional family when it comes to christmas(having never personally cooked a christmas lunch....and spent more in the sun than in the cold)...although this year we are home.
Our presents are usually exchanged a few days before christmas as the day itself has more often or not started at Gatwick and by travelling against the time zones we can sometimes make christmas day last 28 hours from start to finish.

We dont really do main presents either...just the bags of stuff which over the years have really evolved into what can only be described as a mixture of tradition/freebies and tat!!!

This is what the royal family do - lots of joke presents and all laid out on tables and they open presents on Christmas eve
“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”
  • Kind reply from Shoes ladyI would guess that they would deduct the £10 of points when you return it otherwise we would all do it, could be wrong though

Thinking about what my parents put in my stocking - it's usually incredibly tacky and funny - things like novelty straws, Cadbury creme eggs (those are essential!) tape measures, post its, a funky novelty pen - the tackier the better :rotfl:

Of course there is also the obligatory fruit and chocolate too :D

Absolutely ...but I guess you would miss it if they suddenly decided that you didn't need it.....there always has to be a selection box too.

Here's hoping that the second go at your mum's op will have a better outcome x

I've always told them that I'd rather have the stocking than an actual present. They never listen :rotfl: there was one year that we didn't get a stocking and me and my brother "moaned" about it so much that they gave in and started doing them again :D and thank you x
