Thanks a lot both of you, wow I have never heard of most of those, are you sure you did not make a few of those up marmie :rotfl::rotfl:

Sadly none ring a bell its for my nephew and my sister said you can use it at lits of places don't want to phone her as she accused me if not listening to her :o.

I don't think there are discounts/deals for giftcards unless Zeek has what you want. But Morries gives you extra points I think.

Morning. It's not the Hi life card is it??

If it is, get it with T CC points. It's a fiver for an electronic one (or was when I last did it) and pays for itself richly!

one lot of presents wrapped..I picked out OH's first as they were the easy ones...

will tackle the pile for DS tomorrow...although looking at them they are a real mix mash of things...he still insists on the chocolate orange and coins but this year they seem to have been joined by various drinking bits and pieces, flavoured vodkas and shot glasses and the like....how quickly they grow!

I'm still trying to track down a free calender for him...in previous years I have managed to get the princes one or the trex baking one...the more obscure the better...wondering if I can manage to persuade the likes of shearings coach holidays or something similar for this year...I wont be beaten into buying one!
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

If you have trouble taking a reading, have you tried taking a picture of the meter, then reading it from the picture? Maybe even use a 99p selfy stick.

Hmm good idea. its the gas meter, its so low down. DH has serious copd and cant bend for long and I have arthiritis of the spine so cant bend for long. What a pair we are :rotfl:

it's usually the more obscure the better cjj....so we have things like a scratch card, socks(usually a pair of christmas ones or something alternative)and then some normal ones.
shower gel, shampoo, hair gel, this year a wallet because he needs a new one...
Then there is a cider home brew kit, racing snails, various free bits and bobslike the batchelors soup pots, pot noodles,a cake in a cup mix, jaffa cakes, the ladybird student book....a gift card for Sainsbobs as thats his local supermarket....all tat really ...but it wouldn't be christmas without them!
