Savvybuyer wrote: »I've been reminded that it is now four years since I first started posted on the Elite threads! Many people have been here a lot longer however:rotfl:. So, it's now over five years of price collecting - although one of those times, I always remember it in October four years ago, was literally the eight items that I was buying in A later which was a year after I first started getting details - thanks to that Shredded Wheat box I bought on a targetted shop against T only to discover I lost out as M was quite a lot cheaper on that but dearer on other items bought against T. So with that, I became curious as to what was cheapest in M as well as what was comparable against there. I'd already been getting prices for over a year when I joined. This wasn't even the expansive range of items in my own store (or what I wrongly thought was expansive), just items I generally bought. I then moved onto here and got information about more items, going into areas that I didn't myself need to buy - I thought I had most things just in my own store, but, thanks eventually to get 'chucked out' of there and having to decamp to another store and then going elsewhere as I thought the security there were becoming too suspicious of me with me being there too often. Eventually, I went to another store as I was having trouble finding a few items one time and found further items there, and then went to another, and further items, and then just kept going over the next few weeks - it turned out I had not got nearly very much at all and it just expanded to more and more even since!
So, it's about 5 years 2 months since I began getting at least some M prices from instore. I've normally been consistent though occasionally on and off and not given up with it all yet - though I did need to miss out a couple of recent days as I was getting a bit fed up of it, every time, twice a week, it was getting too much but, having had the few days off, I'm back again with vigour. At least Wednesday's first store was less than half the length of time of Monday's:rotfl: - though it was lengthened a little due to not having an updated list and having to go through all my sheets from Monday to see what I needed. I could not have updated all that in a day though, and still haven't, and I think that's what was becoming too much in previous weeks doing both days of the week. So I might miss occasional ones out if Wednesday suffices anyway (but then that provides more change than even before:rotfl:). I think different stores and the change actually sees me going - rather than the same stores and little change each time, I actually get the variation and, when I need to go out to stores farther away, they seem to be getting me out of bed of the day so can't a bad thing:rotfl:! My boring local stores again and I just seem to want to sleep in:(:rotfl::rotfl:.
With that, I must get to bed now - I will probably sleep in:rotfl:, and then get up, do whatever I need, nice day if you can get it!, and do a bit of the updating later on in the day. This lot is going to take much of the week I think unfortunately to get fully updated. Wednesday has added under two pages to Monday, so it's not been bad! There will (probably!) not be much change next week, so hopefully won't be too bad (and, if it is, I am prepared for it, so it won't be too bad:cool:: I am prepared for anything they throw at me:D:rotfl: - it just takes 'forever and a day' to update it all if there is a lot:rotfl::rotfl:). There is a major change after 27th December (unusually offers expiring, that is last day, on a Tuesday) although I'm not sure what I'm doing between Christmas and New Year - not such what "resources" I have available to me at that time and whether reduced store hours etc. limit the ability to visit stores needed to check. So, I may catch up with the new prices on 28th December or maybe I will out of date (but knowing all these offers will have ended) until the first week of the New Year.
If my posts go quiet, I'm dealing with the updating of the list. I have had more to update in the past than I have this week, so it certainly will be possible to do, even if lengthy!
I'm putting up a sign now, with no disrespect intended, "Do not interrupt!". If people interrupt me, in normal life, I have to start all over from scratch:doh:, so, I need my lack of interruptions - which of course I will get here as I can simply ignore all your posts:rotfl:, until I catch up (or attempt to do so!) later:cool: - watch there be a big glitch on in my absence:rotfl: - and, it's nothing against anyone, but I don't really like people - they just make what come across as unwanted interruptions all the time (called "socialising":rotfl::rotfl:), they aren't really unwanted interruptions, they just come across that way and I'm anti-social:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. It's just - if I've got something to do, I like to do it and get it done without seeing a soul, and then, when it is done, I like to go out and socialise:cool:. I'm very nice face-to-face actually, down the pub - I am very relaxed and happy-go-lucky (people just sometimes see me in formal settings, such as work, and assume I'm straight-laced and stuck in the mud but... this is a false impression, as usual, as I am really not! It's simply that, when it's formal work, the work gets done and, when it's time to party, I party more than anyone else seems to do!_party_:dance::o:o:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:).
Actually, you can 'interrupt', and please do, to PM me if there is a lot of glitching on, as otherwise I won't notice:o, but please don't all PM me at once:rotfl:! If one of you does so (or a few of you, hopefully not everyone:rotfl:), in the event of a glitch, it will attract my attention and won't be much of an interruption at all.:)
Anyway, see you later (I'm planning too far ahead:rotfl::D*)!.
*It does need to be planned weeks and weeks in advance though, with every last i dotted and t crossed as that's the way I do things:cool:.
Thanks Savvy. Will pm you if there's a good glitch, though I'm not on here as regularly as others. Enjoy updating and thanks for all you do.0 -
